I still think synthetic skunk oil would be fun.

Amazing and inspiring.

I remember when “The Six Million Dollar Man” seemed over the top. Guess not.

It’s time to rid ourselves of the false narrative that resourcing people’s health and welfare is socialism. It’s not. It’s caring for the best of us and the least of us. What a gift Medicare for all would be to the entrepreneurial spirit of this country! Small businesses would flourish. It’s time.

Wait. Really? I live next door-ish and have never seen that. Time for a look!

Calling him Jose looked pretty carefully rehearsed. What a smart, witty, warm person we have in our VP.

Since discussing the “how” is probably a bad thing (at least in first person active voice), maybe we can discuss the “where.” I hear Kilauea has some good lava pools just sitting there.

I remember that look on our Shi Tzu’s face as I let her in the house once. She jumped up on the couch and spit out a large, very dead and heavily tenderized mouse. Hopefully it’s not that.

We need to make him go away.

At least sparkles are inert. Imagine if someone sprayed ethyl mercaptan on someone. It’s harmless but is the compound that makes skunks stink so bad. It’s sooo hard to wash off. You wouldn’t be able to wear a face mask if any of that got on you. T-shirt’s, tactical vests, all ruined. Terrible idea.

Your eloquence is inspiring. I’ll second you “bullshit” and raise you one. Whether he meant it or not, he said it, and people take it seriously. REPUBLICANS! Contain this child. We have booster seats for these events. And zip ties!

+rump is the full-employment act for therapists across the US. They’re all pretty busy these days! Mine has been a godsend.

I HATE THIS ASSHOLE!!! sorry. Thanks. That just… happened.

This is why this is starting to feel like a war in many ways. There is no reasoning. There is no justification. There is no lie too big or too small. They are so full of shit the only response to any of this is to simply remove them from relevancy. Vote them out. Sue them into non existence.

Welcome Claude! It takes a while to get the feel of it but I’ll share a few of the people I follow so you can start building your list. Lots of leading edge news and commentary. Hope all is well!

It’s just so petty and so cruel. What kind of human can justify this? There is no goodness or empathy in his/their heart(s). It’s beyond comprehension.

Ok, so what’s the plan here? Is he blowing hot air or is ICE coming to Oregon et al in bigly ways? I believe blue state govs and AGs are planning on this, and I hope our National Guards will be otherwise indisposed. But what do we do aside from rapid response alerts and trying to stand in their way?
comment in response to post
Absolutely! Sometimes it means we have to recognize and confront our own bias and ignorance. That’s a hard thing to do, and it can take a lifetime of work. But it’s something we should all do, and it’s reasonable to expect others to work at it as well.

And Desantis didn’t run anybody down? No sheriffs opened fire on you? Good news! Go Blue Floridians!
comment in response to post
Yea, same I saw in Oregon, too. Well summarized.

It looks like a Revolutionary War movie dressed up in modern duds. Shooting at literally nothing.

They are just sooo afraid of free speech that they threatened death and destruction. I’m hoping people showed in Florida for No Kings. Seems like all those seniors on Medicare might question their allegiances.
comment in response to post
They always conflate loving America with loving Trump. When Trump is literally undermining Democracy every day, we’re going to definitely separate the two. They can’t be taught. They are beyond help and hope.

That estimate will get someone fired. Remember when NPS estimated his first inauguration attendance?

I had a whole lot more fun at my No Kings Flag Day Event in Salem Oregon. And a lot more engaged people!

I wish they’d take the high road (silly, I know) and simply stop doing news. If they can’t call it clearly as it needs to be called for fear of their license, then just stop doing news. I’m pretty sure they don’t want to become just another run of the mill mouse-turd news station like Faux News.

My great grandfather settled there in the late 1800s and eventually owned several business and a Chinese restaurant. We visited his home on 3rd st a couple years ago. My dad was born in Colfax just up the way. Beautiful area. I need to come spend some time.

That was good.

Nailed it. A man with no conscience and no moral compass has surrounded himself with more of the same. Lying is their truth, and truth is their greatest fear. Drown them in numbers. Let’s make this end.

Sounds to me like a reason to enact it. Leave the middle class to manage things. We can only do better.

It’s a really freaky bad ai photo, but i did sort of enjoy looking at it - like one of those hidden image drawings.

I hope Gavin is having a hard conversation with his National Guard Major General Jeffrey D. Smiley about obeying illegal orders from the +rump admin. It may not be Smiley’s fault, but it sure would send a message if he disobeyed. It would also send a great message if Smiley was arrested.
comment in response to post
Thanks for noting. I’m up here in Silverton and it’s just too soon to start thinking fires, and yet here we are. I hope we have the resources to manage them.

Perhaps Major General Jeffrey D. Smiley, of the California National Guard, should have disobeyed this order? Perhaps he should be arrested for violating state and federal law. This would send a strong message to other state NG commanders to not sacrifice their soldiers illegally.

Repeat: Perhaps Major General Jeffrey D. Smiley, of the California National Guard, should have disobeyed this order? Perhaps he should be arrested for violating state and federal law. This would send a strong message to other state NG commanders to not sacrifice their soldiers illegally.

“Breeds” is probably a poor choice of words on this context.

Our military men and women can deal with hard floors and lousy accommodations. That’s not really the point. The point is an utter falsehood of a deployment to show how tough he is and how scared everyone should be. This needs to end. It’s all propaganda with Republican support.

The only difference between now and 1939 is that our leader is targeting Hispanics, Muslims, and Palestinians instead of Jews. Same play book, same tests of authority, same cultural manipulation. Some of it is so blatant it would be funny if it weren’t so terrible. We need to end this.

I’m sure many of you have read the book “On Tyranny” by Timothy Snyder, 2017. It’s less than 2 hours. He puts this all in co text from a historical perspective, and provides guidance on effective response. Please read it. These events are right on cue and will only get worse. June 14th! #NoKings
