JP II was sent to break USSR, Leo has been sent with a purpose too.

I would suspect Donnie will be pleased for a bit until Leo gets more spotlight. That will anger shallow Donnie. Pope JP II was sent to break USSR, I suspect Leo was sent to break the rise of Authoritarianism in US.

Italy as ICC members would be bound to arrest him. Similar as other leaders involved in war that ICC has arrest warrants for that did not attend the funeral.

To coin the GoT phrase “the North remembers” in respect of which lines were helpful and which unhelpful.

Last year in a pub in Kentish Town, they had a sign all day coffee and wifi plus lunch for £15. My husband was for moving 😆

The question remains, could a manufacturer make trainers for $27 given the cost of living? That includes freight, all other costs would remain the same 🤨 Honest question, if not why try to bring manufacturing back. Covid demonstrated the importance of supply chains for clinical certain items.

You can still find made in America jeans, like raleighdenim.com. Yes, this is a small custom shop that isn't doing volume, but their jeans start at almost $350, to give a comparison point.

If people buy less, fewer retail, marketing and distribution jobs. I would suggest US should focus on their strengths - services and the knowledge economy. This is where they have a trade surplus. Thoughts are cheap.

I definitely think the 🍊🍇's tariffs are nonsensical, and he's a flaming anus. I also think we should take this time to consider how many sneakers we really need. And, of course, not only sneakers. Cheap goods encourage needless buying.

But the consumer has driven the trade deficit by buying more products? The question here is could a producer make trainers in the US for the price of the raw materials, production (inc construct, recruit and train) and shipping, circa $25 from the thread? Given the US cost of living I suspect not.

Come to Armagh next time, the ancient capital of Ulster. The place where St Patrick built his church, the ring of gullion and its orchards.

Not sure as the Japanese caused the Trump blink on Wednesday, selling off large swaths of their US bonds, they were the largest until then. China 2nd largest.

As a European I would say America’s behaviour is currently more adversarial than China’s. Deporting ppl on green cards, seizing European travellers, telling us we have been screwing you over - not how you treat allies of 80 years.

Apparently it started during the first Trump regime. Per Forbes “China has long been one of the largest holders of U.S. government debt, peaking at over $1.3 trillion a decade ago. Today, those holdings have fallen to just $759 billion.

EU needs to sting the US services sector to exert the necessary pressure. IT, Finance and Consulting will not accept that screw being turned.
