Vaccines for HIV, Lyme disease and some cancers are right on the horizon. Were.

Trump is a fascist.

I know it's pointless to spotlight the hypocrisy of this administration, as they are utterly without either consistency or shame, but I can't help myself.

Our only convicted felon to ever serve as President wants to arrest a state governor of the opposition party just for being a member of the opposition party. Seems bad! This is probably Jake Tapper's queue to pivot to how Biden is old.

The correct way to connect the authoritarian presence in LA and the Big Beautiful Bill is that the bill gives the government the resources to do this in dozens of cities at once. So if you don't like what's happening in LA, it's coming to your town if the bill passes.

the voters yearn for america kafala

Conservatives that claimed they were championing states rights were lying to themselves and to you.

A whole lot of the political fights on here seem to be based on a lot of people's thinking "I'm going to assume that the median voter thinks exactly as I do, and I am going to be mad at whoever points out that this is not true."

In other news, the president has issued a call for ICE agents to arrest each other.

"You were lied to" is going to be a better talking point than "You did in fact vote for this, you just didn't do the reading" even though both of them are correct.

I would assume that the Australians are pissed about this, as they should be.

I feel like Hegseth is gonna be an example in leadership textbooks for years. I mean, not an example of how to lead or what to do, but he'll make it in there.

It’s almost like someone in a position of great power and influence has encouraged Americans to think of the press as “the enemy of the people.”

Give the photographer the Pulitzer Prize

The First Amendment says that Lankford is full of it, here.

Yeah, but I can’t find the lie.

Good luck getting allies in the next war.

A state's Guard has not been federalized like this over the governor's objection since 1965.

So, to be clear, Musk has now admitted he funded a man he believes to be a pedophile to be president. And Trump has now admitted that he gave access to high level government secrets to a man he believes to be a big time drug addict. This should be *the* story on the Sunday shows tomorrow.

Great job, Coco. Congrats on #2!

The people that are advocating this are your enemy.

Don’t threaten me with a good time

America has been flung into a constitutional crisis in the most massive and fundamental way imaginable, ruled by a regime which is not merely doing unconstitutional things but is anti-constitutional at its very core. @andycraig.bsky.social

As everyone who has been paying attention predicted.

I would very much like Elon to be punished, but I don't think it's great that the press is largely normalizing the idea that POTUS can use the levers of government to go after his enemies.

What events over the last 6 months would make anyone look at Elon and go “hey let’s get that kind of ketamine-fueled wisdom and stability in my political party”

They can just replace him with an Optimus robot. You don't understand scale

He's gonna keep doing this as long as he sees this as personally beneficial to him. Which is why we are not supposed to selectively enforce the law in this way.

So...they *could* get him back.

There’s no salvaging this agency. This stuff doesn’t happen unless the agency culture and personnel have utterly rotted into a fascist heap.

Okay this joke is made of two things I love so I’m mad I didn’t think of it first

It took just 15 years to get from Citizens United to this

Not knowing where you end and someone else begins is a classic feature of narcissistic personality disorder

This may get worse but also more hilarious

Oof. Wow.

They're now a *massive* security risk. Trump has to fire 'em all now.
