I for one object to the RAF being used to defend Israel! This isn't our war, unlike the Ukraine - Russia war, where Ukraine resistance is delaying Putin's threatened invasion NATO countries. Also we don't have enough military muscle to waste it defending an aggressor state.

Cheapest & probably easiest way, if only the politicians would find the balls to act.

In any war in the 21st century don't expect a formal declaration of war or the formal "rules', conventions etc & international law to be abided by. A few bulk carriers could disembark a division in almost any port in the USA. Although an exploding bulk gas carrier is more likely

The last few years have proved that you can talk to Putin all you want but he'll never listen. He has his own warped views on everything & will never listen to persuasion, unless he's forced to. So why has Trump kept up the pretence of negotiations? Because he's just as self opinionated as Putin!
comment in response to post
Those who promise military aid & then fail to deliver must be at least partially responsible for the lives lost & damage done because the kit was not there to be used. Trump must have known what the result of his treachery would be.
comment in response to post
The problem with Trump is that not even he knows what he'll do from one minute to the next. We've just got to wait & see.

Yes but the chief of the US army has announced that Trump has been given various options for attacking Iran. Trump wouldn't ask for this unless he was, if even only tentatively, considering doing this.
comment in response to post
This may be something to do with Trump's plan to attack Iran, the country that designed & first produced the Shahed

It's perfectly obvious that under Trump the USA has Its own objectives, regardless of what Its supposed allies want.

Never believe Putin or any other Russian! I've seen nothing but lies coming out of Russia since the day they occupied Crimea, which is when I first seriously thought that Putin wanted a war. After that he thought his army was invincible, Ukraine has now proved him wrong.
comment in response to post
I may well be wrong but it seems that in some countries, especially some of those that were occupied by the Soviets/Russians, there is a deep fear of a repeat of this occupation. But in some countries such as the Baltic States & Poland the mood is that it's better to fight than cave in & do nothing.
comment in response to post
Russia's/Putin's beliefs on any subject tend to be different from anyone else's. This is because Putin believes that the world is out to get him. He invaded Ukraine because he thought 1) they'd never fight 2) the west wouldn't back Ukraine 3) the Russian army was great. He was wrong on all counts.
comment in response to post
The world is in a mess, a very big one. You can add China, Israel & North Korea, at least to your list, all are causing problems for the rest of the world.

Putin still wants the whole of Ukraine! This was his original aim & still is. He'll keep trying for this as long as he can get cannon fodder to die for him.
comment in response to post
Totally agree. Europe must stand up to Putin or face a pan European war when Russia has rebuilt its forces.

Most of that UT video are things I've seen elsewhere. Conflicting evidence that we need to wait for confirmation of one way or another

Trump controls things like patriot, plus some countries, the UK for one, has given more than can really be spared.
comment in response to post
Giving Ukraine the means to stop these attacks is the only effective way to deal with them.
comment in response to post
You're not the only one to have fallen for it, I saw several mentions of it on YouTube. But one is now saying that an attack on a military train did happen. The truth will come out eventually.
comment in response to post
Totally agree, all Trump is interested in is money!

Great

I remember the anti-riot training I did in the 1960's, we were trained to only shoot as a last resort & then just one shot at specific targets. But who knows how people will react when they feel they're in danger? It can go wrong so easily.
comment in response to post
If true I can only marvel at the ingenuity of the Ukrainian forces & the stupidity of the Russians! Fancy attaching, what seems to be, civilian waggons into a military train & not checking these properly. I 🙏 that this did actually happen as Ukraine needs to destroy as much Russian kit as possible.
comment in response to post
What else is to be expected, Ukraine is fighting for its very existence!!
comment in response to post
"Jaw, jaw is better than war, war"-Winston S Churchill But does this still apply when one side constantly repeats the same set of unjustified demands, while attacking civilians nightly? My guess is that Churchill & anyone who thinks would say NO empathetically!!!
comment in response to post
I know little about US law but I do know that it is dangerous to put troops on the streets to stop riots! Troops have little or no knowledge of the local people & take their orders from central govt not the local authorities. This could be a disaster waiting to happen!
comment in response to post
I've no idea.
comment in response to post
The problem is we've no idea who will take over. Plus as he's been so long in power if there were more than one strong contender his death might lead to riots in the streets or worse civil war. It could be a dangerous time for the world in general.
comment in response to post
The West could try to have Putin deposed but who would succeed him? It could be someone much worse, there are many fascists in Putin's inner circle who would love to take over from him, given the opportunity.
comment in response to post
Trump might be right, provided that Ukraine gets the arms & ammunition it needs to keep fighting strongly. Which realistically means that Trump must step up to the mark & supply many of the arms & aircraft needed.
comment in response to post
Perhaps leaflets dropped over central Moscow would humiliate Putin & show Muscovites what Ukraine could be capable of. But without giving Putin an excuse for more attacks, because of damage done to Moscow's old architecture etc. Not that he needs an excuse to attack civilians!
comment in response to post
Never ever believe a word Trump utters, he's one of the three most prolific liars I've come across in my 80 yrs on this earth. The other two are the 🤡 Boris Johnson & Vladimir Putin.
comment in response to post
I suspect the prisoner exchange postponement is just more Russian lies/propaganda. Never believe any official Russian statement, especially when it comes from Putin or his spokesman Trump!
comment in response to post
The three Baltic States experienced full Russian occupation/domination from the late 1790's. They fought a guerrilla war against the Soviets/Russians from 1944 for over 10 yrs. They know what to expect from another round of occupation. The rest of Europe must follow their example & re-arm quickly!!!
comment in response to post
Anyone with any sense knows the military benefits of striking military targets. But Putin must be annoyed, frustrated & very very angry. So perhaps he's ignoring military logic & taking his anger out on the Ukrainian people. This seems a surefire way to ensure that no lasting peace can be achieved.
comment in response to post
I'm now wondering if one of the reasons for these attacks of Putin on civilian targets is an attempt to get Ukraine to respond with attacks on Russian civilians. It must be hard for ordinary Ukrainians to put up with nightly Russian attacks knowing that Russians aren't going through the same thing.
comment in response to post
As usual Trump is talking through his arse! Attacks on military targets are not a justification, either legal or moral, to bomb the shit out of civilians! Put simply Trump's remarks try to justify WAR CRIMES! Does this make Trump an accessory to these crimes or just a thoughtless idiot?
comment in response to post
To restore & then keep peace in Europe NATO can't afford to let Putin beat Ukraine! That means the moral, economic & military support must continue, even after the last Russian leaves Ukraine. The alternative would be a Russian attack on a NATO member leading to WWII. Ukraine must beat Putin!
comment in response to post
Another 5 days & Russia's casualties for "special military operation" will have exceeded 1M. A bit high for an "operation" only expected to last a few days, with little resistance from Ukraine or the rest of Europe. Putin got this one badly wrong & he still wants to kill more Russians & Ukrainians!
comment in response to post
More evidence that Ukraine is on the path to beating the Russian steamroller! Attacking civilians never won a war, knocking the s**t out of an enemy's military infrastructure, production & logistics will do.
comment in response to post
Putin attacks civilians, Kyiv attacks Russian military logistics. Guess who's getting desperate? Putin will never win doing this.
comment in response to post
The real acts of terror are committed by Russia on Putin's orders for revenge. When an aggressor switches to attacking soft civilian targets it's a sign that they're losing! Look at Hitler's use of V weapons in 1944/45, Putin's now trying the same tactic.
comment in response to post
Putin must be laughing his head off. Trump is totally deluded!
comment in response to post
When things don't go to plan dictators lash out at easy targets. This is what Putin is doing by attacking civilians & civilian infrastructure. If he was winning on the battlefield he'd have no need to attack civilians! But Trump is too stupid to realise this & quickly force Russia out of the war.
comment in response to post
Trump claims that he is unhappy about Putin drone attacks that cause the deaths of Ukrainian civilians. But this move shows his real feelings! The only thing in Ukraine that really interests him is its minerals.
comment in response to post
Trump is truly worthy of the name TACO! I'm now wondering if Trump has taken the title of the worst president of the USA in the last 100 yrs from Nixon? I think the orange TACO man has probably just taken the lead.
comment in response to post
Trump seems absolutely petrified when it comes to opposing Putin. At times he tells his domestic audience that he's displeased with Putin's actions but then does absolutely nothing to stop him. TACO man really is a wimp!
comment in response to post
When has Putin ever told the truth?? He's as big a liar as Trump & that 🤡 Boris Johnson! Never ever trust a liar & especially not Putin!!!!!!

Russia's had three years to indoctrinate the people of these lands. The Nazis had 12 years to indoctrinate Germany & the postwar denazification programme only took six years. The return of the refugees & the removal of Russian immigrants, a couple of years should be enough to de-Putise these lands.
