enemies in the first dungeon in dark cloud are pretty standard dungeon fare (bats, skeletons, mimics, horrible frog thing that spews gas, etc). enemies in the second dungeon are mostly a bunch of sadistic gnomes/imps named after days of the week who want to kill and maim me
