There's an entire universe of DIY/Construction media that should absolutely be talking about the attacks and abductions. And I guarantee a lot of those consumers would are both conservative and persuadable on this issue. It's really not hard to see how deep these issues go.

We can moan about this dynamic all we want or we can just acknowledge they're brain dead sheep and shape our political strategy appropriately.

It is genuinely courageous for him to post about his immigration status. And more people with massive followings could learn from his example.

even when people support mass deportation, they don’t actually support what’s happening they support the fever dream of deporting hordes of rapists and murderers sold to them by Stephen Miller stop dicking around and show them the reality

Strong words for a team that has a better record than the Twins while playing the hardest division in the league!

There are people who self-identify as "leftist" and behave as if their political beliefs give them absolution from truly despicable behavior. That's not really any part of left politics I'm familiar with. It's just narcissistic, self-indulgence.

If the federalist society has broadly infiltrated the judiciary it's pretty obvious the same nonsense is happening at publications.

Another brain cooked by Twitter.

If you're pretending to be an enlightened, objective political observer, you do not get to pretend the 2020 protests were a failure.

Tactically we really need to embrace these protests… they have the potential to make Trump even more unpopular, particularly on the issue of immigration. But you have to keep the focus on what’s being protested, not how the protesters are protesting. Obviously?

Being an asshole isn't a political strategy. Grow up

I'm sorry, it is actually shocking for a CNN anchor to say "some groups of people don't get freedom of assembly." It helps no one to be so cynical about the world you blind yourself to why this is shocking.

Someone remind me, was the federal government escalating disorder and violence in the last presidency... ?? If Jake Tapper doesn't like chaos and disorder, maybe he could chat with the guy escalating everything. I hear his job might offer some opportunities to talk with the people responsible.
comment in response to post
Someone ask Jake Tapper if it's ok for people to protest when their family members are being abducted and sent to countries they've never been to before.

Strong evidence of Twitter cooking someone's brain

But they're being countered by a flood of videos showing the human toll: crying children, angry protests, families ripped apart. And in the middle, "people just end up getting angrier and angrier." Inside the social media war over deportations: wapo.st/4l2fK2A

It is also hugely annoying to take the time to communicate what you mean; viable alternatives, congestion pricing, bike lanes, whatever and then they go "Why do you want to ban my car?" So I do understand why some people just give in to expectations 😅🤣
comment in response to post
To be clear... I'm saying that person sounds like a fool and they've been baited into looking like a fool by the ban cars rhetoric.

What if we had a planned economy but all the planning was just for giggles?

And it is genuinely courageous to use his "fame" this way.

I'm much more bullish on driverless tech than I was. But if this reality comes true, VMT will sky rocket. We already know dead heading adds a ludicrous amount of VMT. There is simply no way to efficiently serve people with personal vehicles larger than bikes. I've been to Mumbai.

This is the correct take.

The fact that a hyphenated American isn't any less American than anybody else is literally the best thing about this stupid-ass country, the thing that most clearly makes it a redeemable project.
