Ok, well, I once had the idea of organizing a march to raise awareness of the problems faced by women who are members of ethnic minorities, ending at an event where people would be frying up lots of noodles and vegetables in large metal pans. I proposed calling it the WOC Wok Walk. Not great!

The merry go round looks like they got TriMet to design and build it for them, and I love it.

“Learn to sew” and “grow your own food” are generally dismissed as realistic, broadly applicable responses to tariffs. But I have a feeling that “manufacture your own explosives” might actually catch on.

Well, now that you mention it, my old neighbor called me up and gave me a barely used, top of the line push mower. It’s super nice! Someone gave it to her, but she thought I’d get more use out of it. I might mow every lawn on the block, for fun.

Relying on context, my best guess was “Fucked up, bad, old, gross,’ and it kind of worked.

Does his chin say ‘Suburban Apparel’?

“The Jesus… Lizard? Well, all creatures great and small, I suppose.”

Oh please. As if the kind of English you guys speak over there is always completely intelligible.

I fear the psych screenings already in place may be working as intended.

I think he might be overestimating a little the amount of people poring over the lore and past statements of the members of Barenaked Ladies these days.

Special backstage tour of the Akron Zoo around 2018, I got too close to the coati cage, dude snatched the glasses right off my face. I got them back, but it was pretty obvious that dude was laughing at me.

That’s pretty bad. Your computer friend sucks.

Ok, but who’s the other guy? Which one is Joe?

You’re thinking of Marc Summers.

So is that also the result of botched dick enhancement surgery? Like, the hormones or something turn your torso into a trapezoid?

Has it occurred to you that nobody is trying to fool you, but rather they’re just trying to live their lives?

I’m imagining the jokes and such going on in Sheinbaum’s office in the minutes before she gets on the call with him. She has to be like “Quiet! Shut up!” while trying to compose herself and keep a straight face. “Yes, I’m here” she says to the White House operator, her face aching from laughter.

It’s truly, deeply frustrating.

I liked it. It’s what Max always does, saves everyone and then leaves, adding to the legend. Besides, what is a heavily traumatized but essentially decent drifter with violent tendencies and a restless need to keep moving going to do in a civilized society?

Don’t call it fingerblasting, ok? It’s actually really serious and good for you, and it’s basically free.

To be fair, health care executives are a debased and bloodthirsty people. Just, you know, not in .the way body armor would defend against.

Do you not know that the Soviets were part of the allied force opposing the axis? And that the Red Army killed more nazis than any other force during the war?

“No, no. See, the ads you get for free. You don’t pay for the ads. ‘Ad free’ get it?”

Oh dang, Senator, you really ought to head into work and talk to some people. There’s actually this whole other thing that’s been happening. Not great!

No, not at all. You and Masuke need to take care of each other first. You don’t owe us anything. I’m just very happy to see the little guy again!
comment in response to post
This is 100% an update I needed. I was just thinking about Masuke recently, and hoping for the best.

You know all those drone mounted guns they’re using in Gaza? Firing on targets designated by some opaque AI system? Do you suppose those will only ever be used over there?

That’s disappointing as hell, what’re bored teenagers who don’t have cars or drugs yet supposed to do in Titusville now? However, I have great news:

Nice. I grew up there. I haven’t been to the museum in decades, do they still have hourly showings of ‘Born in Freedom - The Story of Colonel Drake’ starring Vincent Price as Drake?

Have you been to Titusville?
comment in response to post
Not because of any disability, no.

I’ve been trained to always read the alt text because sometimes people put jokes in there.

We have run out of time to wait for democracy to be “done properly.” The planet is on fire, and millions of people are going to need to relocate in order to survive. If someone is violently attacking you, you cannot hold a vote to make them stop.
