The damage Zack Snyder and his bots have done to the DC fandom and characters is going to take decades to revert isn’t it.

Great show overall. So many great games shown, no ads, no fluff. Was great. Cut back on the tag lines though, there's like 4 of them and it's over the top. Oh and can somebody make a top tier 3rd person action game please. Why is Xbox allergic to them?
comment in response to post
Alot of high points. Only things I don't get interested in are the annual ESO, Fallout 76, Sea of Thieves updates. Maybe fans love them but they never show anything to me that would get new players interested. I would also never end with COD, I get why but so many people just sigh and turn off.

Compare that show case to The Summer GameFest and it feels at complete opposites. No ads, no fluff, no mobile crap, etc. Just games from studios across the world. Xbox is obviously huge and have different considerations but from a showcase perspective they are leagues above everyone else.

When a team sport relies on star names to be successful it is always at risk. Long term success is built on people wanting to watch teams/match-ups/rivalries, player focus will only ever be a short term thing.

I imagine he’s 2nd choice behind Gibbs-White. Not PL proven and not home grown so if the 1st isn’t possible for whatever reason that’s where they’ll go.

#TLOU S2 TLDR: Strong production value hindered by a dull/unengaging plot. Skip S3 as it ends in the same place as S2.
comment in response to post
#TLOU It's honestly unbelievable to me that the creators didn't recognise that as being a significant issue and change it. You can tell the same story in a more effective and engaging way, they chose not to. It's pure hubris. They think they told an amazing story and refuse to change.
comment in response to post
#TLOU It completely killed any momentum and the vast majority of interest in the plot (not there was much but regardless). The fact they are doing the exact same where it seems S3 is Abby's side quest, so many people will just not care and turn off completely. S4 will pick up where S2 just ended.

Will be interesting if we go back for Cambiaso as well. My thinking was it would be only 1 full back this summer and a RB being more important so this would change that thinking.

Ridiculous comment. Of course there is a way to do it in less seasons but there is no incentive from anyone to do so IF the audience is still there. That's a big if though, not sure if they can keep people coming back to this for that long considering the (lack of) material

Disappointing but it did seem like it was going to be massively costly. Gibbs-White plus Reijnders seems like more doable with less risk. Probably pushes Foden more central.

That last bullet point seems like the most important and positive one for me but it’s getting the least coverage.

He’s better off just doing his own thing although it would be interesting if he did just to see the reaction and attempt to spin it another way to get him taken off that too.

They finally found a way to get him off the BBC. The right have been trying to silence him for ages, took him making a mistake for it to happen. Hope he gets louder now that he doesn’t need to bend to BBC rules.

Again, massive generalisations and not real work place examples comparing individuals going for the same job or promotion.

Which degrees? I haven’t specified. I don’t need to look it up, I literally see it on a daily basis. No one gets promoted faster or earns more just because they have a degree. Experience is everything.
comment in response to post
If you’re going for a promotion no one asks what degree you have. It doesn’t matter. And if they do they aren’t good at their job. And stats will favour those with degrees but there’s a huge social element that comes with that. Straight averages don’t work, it needs to be case by case.
comment in response to post
This isn’t about the stats. Is about how effective a degree is in a hiring/promotion process. If you’ve got 2 30s going for a job. 1 with a degree + 5yrs exp vs the other with 10yrs exp, the latter is more desirable. For entry positions degrees open doors. After a point they mean very little.

Significantly more than what? Average compared to what? If you have 2 engineers in the same company at the same level, they will be in the same pay band regardless of previous qualifications. To progress it’s then about demonstrated capability, not what’s on a bit of paper.
comment in response to post
Completely depends on the industry and route to become a Graduate. All a degree realistically does is get you an interview for entry level positions. You can surpass that by doing apprenticeships (standard or graduate levels) or with transferable experience. It’s not a fast track to higher pay.

Shame that he’s apparently never been able to make an impression, especially in a position where we’ve been short multiple times. Still healthy profit for someone who’s basically never played.

Um….is this AI generated? Why does it look like something from 1999?

That was awful. I get they sat back with the whole team behind the ball but this is one of the worst teams in PL history and already relegated and realistically we created nothing. Poor all around.

That’s one of the reason I don’t have any interest in live service games. There’s so many new games to experience that spending time in a weekly/monthly grind is just a waste. I’ll only go back to certain games if other folk want to. Quality over quantity.

And Dredge. They literally shadow dropped that on top. Only knew cause I had it wishlisted and I got a notification on it.

He’s a clown. Complete buffoon who has given no thought to the logistics of this. Never mind if it would have a positive impact. Won’t happen. Clearly he needed to do something to get in the news again.
comment in response to post
He’s a clown. There is no thought as to how this would be done, never if it should be done. Complete lunacy. It’s not a trade or an import. Might as well charge for emails at that point.

This explains why they dropped Oblivion when they did. They released it in a congested period, including other Game Pass stuff. It made no sense to release it when they did but this was the reason why. I hate it when I’m right about these things.

Still not that interested in the nostalgia bate / reboot Avengers movies coming up so will probably go no where but easily top 3 MCU films in Phase 4 or 5. Not that’s a high bar but it’s good at least so I’ll take it. Behind GOTG3 and No Way Home obviously.

It’s very much Florence Pugh’s movie. Other than Bob/Sentry the other characters are in support of her. Not great for a true team-up film but think it works well enough. Gives us a hero we want to see which is very much needed in the MCU right now.

This should have been out years ago to set a direction for the franchise. Alot of world building being done. It very much feels like course correction and hope people forget about the recent crap. It’s built on a shaky foundation but it might be enough to hold until the reboot (Secret Wars).
