I like to be dark and mysterious. But I'm just blank and confusing.
Expect a lot of Arsenal rants. And rants in general.

That's true, yes. Retaining some of his value would be wise

I would have reservations about signing too many forwards, so to not be too top heavy. But having an option to rotate Jesus wide would also satisfy the need for another wide player

True. So why aren't we making an effort to ease them into, if not our team, the A Team

Option 1 is defo good. But do we have enough goals in our squad?

AND perhaps a prime striker, that has not proven his ability to score in the PL enviroment might backfire, especially if you're paying up towards £80m+ for him.

So what's my point?
Well, while Sesko might the best option, especially if he hits the ground running, getting a diamond in the rough when you're essentially strikerless and struggle for goals, might not be the best idea.

And from that point on, I get this itch that the best short term option, might be somone on this list:
Ollie Watkins
Patrik Schick
Serhou Guirassy
Or even Ayoze Perez (based on stats)
While none of these are in any way exciting players, they do score a lot of goals.

We're also talking about making it to a trophy next season, at least one
Do you buy a £70m+ rough PL unproven player for such a short term goal?
That being said, while Gyo is very prolific, is he the short term option either? Because he's PL proven neither. And he looked slightly isolated against us

Though it could be fun if we stole a few underused and underappreciated low performers from our competitiors.
Like Højlund. Just as an example of a player who's stock is falling for coaching reasons

Do I think I know who we're in after - Nope, not at all. But I am, also, able to look through G/A stats and npxG, so I am also able to make an educated guess.
So be calm - It might be we don't sign a striker at all, and then we can find an excuse for not winning anything next season either

But his profile as a young and exciting striker does now tickle our fancy as much as the aforementioned hot ones.
Neither does someone like Isaksen - Rodrygo or Williams does.
Zubimendi and Sané hits that twilight zone - they're no doubt good players, but not exciting signings.

Here's my thought:
Sesko and Gyokeres both makes sense profile-wise for Arsenal. So we buy it. If we just wanted a top tier striker - The sensible option would be someone like Schick, who's 29, but has proven is prolific nature. Leverkusen is also getting raided now Alonso is no longer their coach

With a reoccurring Benny Hill melody throughout

Prediction - we won't make CL next season.

Late with subs, leave players to die on the pitch, always some tactical tweak, but this possessed with a gameplan that is growing out of style by the minute.
Time for more chaos and enjoyment. Ain't gonna be with Arteta.

No trip to Dubai or a new set piece rutine can invigorate a team that is working like a machine.
We're flat. Boring. Toothless.
We're banning on some training routine to work.
You don't need a striker to score goals. But you need your goal scorers in position where they can score.
And we don't
comment in response to

This semi final was about intent. And Arsenal's intent stopped after 20 minutes.
Go soak up some about how we tactically tweaked this and that to keep this and those out of the game. But we the RB scores after so many minutes, as the highest player, you're not in the area of arrows on a board.

It's the "perfect shot" fallacy that Arsenal has been dealing with for years.
Shooting might give away the ball - yes - but it also gives you so much more. If there's no good passes and you're near the box, rip it

It's a positive stat yes, but I do believe this is also what p-hacking looks like

Huijsen's goal is the textbook example of "Don't give the opposition a free header".
MLS is the closest defender, decides against jumping and gives Huijsen the chance to just jump alone.

Case and point, leaving your entire first team on the pitch against AFC Bournemouth when it's very obvious they are not enjoying the game.
Give the reserves and young guys a chance - Keep your first 11 focused and hungry.

And maybe - just maybe - don't kill me
Call up someone like Mancini or Bo Henriksen and ask them to make an audition. I'm not saying Arteta is the wrong guy for the job - I'm just saying that I sometimes get the feeling he slightly forgets the human element in football.
Not off the pitch, but on it.

So what needs to change to make Arsenal scary?
Well the simple cards are:
We need a striker
We need volume - not talent - but volume to go in and do a job
We need a new training protocol to avoid training injuries
Perhaps get a second dog into the club? Name her "Focus"?

But my realistic analysis is:
Arsenal will lose 2-1, we'll score the first goal, then get the jitters and rest on the soft cushion of "We're ahead?"
Then we're going to be proven wrong and suddenly have to pedal heavily to get above waters again - and fail.
Which is a good result - If you're not AFC
comment in response to

Now I know Arsenal can blow PSG out of the waters, because Arsenal is a very good team if they want to. And Arsenal have shown they can create chances if necesarry.
So my hopeful analysis is that Arsenal proves the haters wrong. Win 2-0 at PSG in a serious and unflashy manor.

CL is the only hope Arsenal have of some silverware - And a big chunk of the footballing world is watching us as the weakest of the bunch. Barca is flying. Inter is dominating. PSG is creative.
Arsenal is the "almost" team. If we just had that striker or this player didn't get injured. 5 years.

Arsenal have averaged 1.91 points per game. PSG has averaged 2.44.
Just for shits and giggles, Liverpool has averaged 2.41 PPG.
Without too much sarcasm, Arsenal simply doesn't stay consistent throughout the season.
And now we're in the business end of it. League is gone, national tournaments gone.

We want to view Arsenal as a defensive stronghold, which he have been, but PSG has let in just 2 goals more over their season than us. Even with the 4 more games we've played, we're not talking about a major difference.
They have, though, scored just about double the amount that Arsenal have.

Bar Neves, they changed the ENTIRE lineup for the game. Then they gave Ruiz and Doué 45-30 minutes and that was that.
YES they are ahead in Ligue 1 with 20 points - But Arsenal doesn't have anything to play for in the league either. We can be leapfrogged yes, but we secured CL next season anyway.

Tbf er dont got any game changers. That being said, I don't understand not prepping for the important game in the major tournament you still can win. Leaving tired legs on the field is a wild tactic

So beneath Arsenal playing into Luis Enrique's hands. Let's also quickly mention that the ref was just plain bad.

Players dying on the pitch. 1 sub. I know your options are limited, but don't kill your players

Honestly this semi auto offside thing is tiresome.

Better ending than beginning, but Arteta needs to nail into this squad that you need to be clinical. If you get a total of 3 big chances a game, you need to score a minimum of 1

Third:
That is the softest yellow I've seen for a while.
Was that necessary? Would this be a good time to take off Rice? Or at 60 min? To avoid a soft second yellow?
comment in response to

Second:
That second goal came off the right way to play against a central press. And it's the direct opposite of the type of possesion control football we're used to watch.
Mid Lowblock is meant to scare teams into risk averse passes. The right approach is to turn you man and run at goal.
