I bailed after the 2nd and never looked back. I knew. The scary shit for this long, miserable season is that it's only half over.

Theil has to be the only person to see the Borg from Star Trek and go,'You know, that's an aspirational character for all humanity.'

Well, that's the flaw in today's billionaire-worship culture. Some guy 1 idea that makes him a ton of money, and we all grant them this 'special insight' for every other idea, no matter how stupid. Minus their fortunes, Theil, Musk, Bezos, and Zuck would be easily recognized as crackpots.

Presumably they were federal agents because they had no badges, a warrant and were concealing their faces.

The least serious too.

The apple cart IS upset.

It was! favorite part: "I can’t be afraid to upset the apple cart if that’s what’s required, but I don’t want to upset the apple cart for the sake of upsetting the apple cart,” Breslow said last April. “The apple cart,” one team employee said last season, alluding to Breslow’s remarks, “is upset.”

would there also be an impact of the countless video clips bouncing around the internet, each proclaiming 'this ump should be fired!!!" every time he calls a strike on a pitch outside the damn K-Zone? I would think that would make the best of us a little gunshy

That's BigBalls? At least now he's got time to catch up with his old pal, Butthead.

Are they checking phones of citizens, too? Becuase I've said so many things about JD Fuckface in the past year that if I leave the country they are certain to not let me back in

The last really great Nomar season. It was a really steep decline after that

Every groundbreaking I've seen/been to involved playing with dirt outside at the actual site. The A's brought dirt inside and put it on a table? I predict bad things to come

Excellent research! I've been watching baseball since the mid70s, and my eyes tell me the level of athleticism is higher than ever, especially on D. A factor is the PED testing, and ridding the game of bulked-up players who could hit 40hr but barely field their position.

Or as W himself once said, "Fool me once shame on you. Fool me...fool me...you can't get fooled again!"

This is one of the main failings of the press. They report what he says in any given moment quite well. But they fail miserably to put what he says into any context whatsoever. There's little effort to point out when he's lying, talking nonsense, or being inconsistent with previous views

The south lawn is where the helicopters land. Good place for a massive flagpole 🙄

That chant is always en vogue but some days more than others.

"2 weeks" is Trumpspeak for "it's not going to happen, so stop asking." I refer you to infrastructure week and Trump's replacement of Obama care.

Nomar for me. Peak Nomar was incredible and easily HOF bound. The drop-off came very quickly.

Makes you wonder how he treats the female clerks in his office, or any woman who dares to question him.

Lovely. I feel the same way about birds.

Speaking of rookie moves, stop sending out written statements defending your actions before you have the opportunity to see any video that might completely contradict your defense.

Certainly not a man as duplicitous, unscrupulous, and egotistical as this man. We handled 12 years of FDR quite well, but he was all that $Trump is not.

The Globe is literally owned by the owner of the red sox. Like they say, the press is free if you own one.
comment in response to post
It's a tradition with this Red Sox ownership that they never send you away without a knife in the back. Devers joins a list that includes Mookie, Nomar and Terry Francona

I didn't bother with the Breslow episode. Sorry/not sorry

Clearly, the Netflix doc crew picked the wrong season for all-access to the Sox clubhouse

This American has reached his own conclusions sometime ago. I conclude Johnson is a lying weasle of the highest order.

In baseball, players would be on their best behavior if getting ejected meant playing with 8. It's not the worst idea.

It would explain quite a bit if Trump, JD F*ckface, Hegseth, Homan, Noem, Kennedy, and all the rest were indeed on meth

Americans have short memories and shorter attention spans. Like we didn't go through this unraveling the first time around. But +50% of the voting public swore it would be different this time. Un-fucking-belivable

I never thought I would see the day when $Trump would take a nuanced position on anything. It's very Omama-esque
