How accurate was the movie Angels and Demons? I just realized that everything I think I know about selecting a new pope comes solely from that film.

The crazy thing is that before he realized he could spout MAGA bs to get ahead, he was a moderate with good progressive economic policies and no outspoken hate for immigrants and non-whites. I don’t think he believes a word and is grifting as hard as he can.

A 404 Media reader made a much clearer, better formatted PDF version of the declassified, World War II-era government guide to "Simple Sabotage" and resisting fascism and asked that I share it widely so here it is:

The Padres constantly feel like they’re living or dying based on what the office does. Honestly just knowing they want to go to the World Series is such a relief to hear. It could be they feel they got the money and the fans, and want to pull a Mavs with whatever tradeable talent is left.

Ha-Seong King! He’s a great guy and a fan favorite. This is a reason to get excited for the Rays this year.

You’d get more reliability out of a 40 year old goldwing than out of the Harley, sadly.

Thrift stores are great for books too. Usually a dollar or two, and you can find some great options you may not have otherwise considered.
