I have no idea why so many people follow me. Maybe I should start a cult to the Great Old Ones or something.

Huh, I thought it was a pet baku.

Hey now, I'm Canadian. That said if American I would have DEFINITELY voted for her. Anything but that orange turd in a soiled diaper.

LOL, fair. As long as we can agree that FUCK REAGAN, I think we'll get along fine.

/2 And until Trump, both parties had been favoring neoliberal economic policies for several decades by now (even Carter had notable deregulatory tendencies IIRC), which saw their ultimate Democratic expression in Clinton.
comment in response to post
Weird - to me, Clinton is something of an arch-Liberal, likely because I look at it from a non-American angle (am Canadian). Liberalism to me is a center-right ideology which encourages as much deregulation and as little government control/oversight as possible. 1/

(Full disclosure: I utterly LOATHE Reagan, as you may have guessed)
comment in response to post
Plausible; in my defense I'm Canadian, so I may not have 100% of the context you do. Even then, IMO it's the same deregulatory impulse that made Reagan repeal the Fairness doctrine that made Clinton do what he did (though again this does not cast Clinton in a better light) so still kinda Reagan.

TBF Reagan was an even bigger component as to how we got here. Clinton was pretty much a direct consequence of 12 years of Reagan+Reagan's veep. Yes this still makes Clinton shit; I remember when Michael Moore called him one of the best Republican presidents and thinking "yeah, sounds about right".
comment in response to post
Sooo... does that mean you still support Clinton in 2025? Because supporting him then and supporting him now are two very different things.
comment in response to post
Yeah probably gonna switch too.
comment in response to post
Ah yes, listen to the man who says "we'll think about it for two weeks" then turns around and launches an attack barely two days later. It's all lies and bluster and whining with Trump.

Oh hey so that means Spawn of Shittan #5 actually has one talent.

"you have completely lost me." Translation: "I do not want to understand this likely very valid point @heppy111.bsky.social made because then I would be confronted with the concept that maybe, just maybe, my narrative is a bunch of bollocks."

The bad news: it didn't convince me The good news: it's because I follow you already

Soooo... human extinction it is, then? Cool, cool. Okay maybe leave a few "uncontacted" tribes, maybe they can make a better go of it a few millenia down the road.
comment in response to post
Now, now. It's insulting to pendejos to associate Couchfucker Vance to them.

You know the current regime treats it as toilet paper, right? ...Right?

TBF Dubya, while bad, was never even in the running for worst president. I mean, Buchanan, Reagan, Jackson, and Johnson are RIGHT THERE.

*Shitload of belligerent, militarist rhetoric about a military strike* "NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!" Might as well stab someone in the eye with a fork screaming "DIE BITCH!" and then saying "We shouldn't be violent!"

I have another even more foolproof tactic: Being Canadian.

Maybe it's yet another component of Zuck's "not even trying to pretend he's not fascist anymore" phase.
comment in response to post
Bold of you to assume they considered they had to use any justification beyond "they were breathing in my vicinity". Fascists gonna fash.

COUNTERPOINT: You're also a loser if you stan them and are under 30. NO. EXCUSES.

Fun fact: Betar is a fascist "revisionist Zionist" movement founded in the 20s in Europe with maximalist territorial ambitions and a tendency to organize itself like a paramilitary militia. Now, where have we heard THAT before?

Idea: let's start calling every Republican senator from a southern or rural state Bubba or Cletus. See how mad they get.

It's a risk I'm willing to take. Loved Liam Vickers' pre-Murder Drones short CliffSide. www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGa8...

Twisted Tales was such a surreal treat to watch.

Maybe try and convince him to wash up first. Dude looks ripe. Probably a lot of fun afterwards though.

See, this is why I've always taken the shark's side in that movie.

I'm a man and I aprrove this message. (Not that it actually needs my approval, just that... y'know... it's neat and I wanted to show support)

Which a lot of goes to said red states' farmers, who then complain about blue states' "welfare queens" unironically because they have the self-awareness of a rock

Because to "get" it would drag them kicking and screaming out of their comfort zone. I said back then that J6 was Trump's Beer Hall Putsch and I was told I was exaggerating; well, now the Reichstag is on fire.
comment in response to post
Also, given the current confluence of circumstances, said rock bottom may actually involve the outright extinction of said humans.

Oh boy wait until you see Stellaris. For a long while it was actually almost a necessity to reach the endgame because otherwise species bloat would eventually bring down game speed to a screeching halt.

This bears an uncanny resemblance to me. Because I'm all thumbs.

Everyday I get at least one reminder that the 60s, 70s and/or 80s were mostly horribad when it came to non-musical aesthetics

Good news: I already follow you. Also that first one would look great for Trench Crusade.

Reminder that Gene Roddenberry was outright Socialist. And no, that's not a bad thing.

So MAGA stands for Make Asbestos Great Again, now? Also, fun fact: biggest asbestos deposits are in Canada AFAIK, so they gonna have to pay tariffs to even get it.
comment in response to post
LOLno. You cerrypicked data, took it out of context, exaggerated it until it was warped beyond recognition, then hypocritically presented it as if it actually proved your point. Again, your fascism is showing. Fascist.
comment in response to post
Yes, they did vote for this. The cruelty is the point. Until it's applied to them, then they claim they didn't vote for this because this shouldn't apply to them, forgetting the fundamental truth that fascist regimes are only safe for the ones on top.

I care. I care because holy FUCK do I ever need an XXXXL-size dose of hope these days. Gimme a Superman that makes me feel that maybe we're worth saving over Snyder's depressionfests any day.
