This is tragic but not surprising. The Biden negotiated 3 phase plan was the first in decades to lay out a potential 2 state solution. Stage 2 was not of interest to Trump. Witkoff appears to have a bias towards Israel. Neither Trump or Witkoff appear to be putting pressure on Netanyahu.

Members of the Black Caucus did wear black t-shirts over their white dress shirts an under the suit jackets. Some left early. They removed their jackets and displayed messages visible on their backs as they walked out. Malcolm Frost’s t-shirt said NO KINGS LIVE HERE.

There are times silent protests are effective and called for. Tonight the protests were numerous but not in spoken words. Women and minorities know silent protest can be very powerful.

Many Democrats did walk out. Members of the Black caucus wore suits and white shirts with a black t-shirt under their jackets. They took their jackets off and walked out together displaying protest messages on the back of their t-shirts. Maxwell Frost’s t-shirt said NO KINGS LIVE HERE. Powerful!

I understand the logical behind a peace deal. Ukraine shares the “rare earth” minerals in the Ukrainian land Russia occupies with US and Russia in exchange for US support in a peace agreement.
