Re: Qs on signing the Rat Queens omnibus. I was not told my work would be included. I do not agree with it being included because the creator made it known yrs ago he would never let my art be reprinted because he didn't want me to be paid. I confronted him about this while I was homeless. Fuck RQ.

Not really a panel, but this illustration by Alan Davis stuck with me all through my childhood. Didn't read the books til later, and the story wasn't as grim or dramatic as this image suggested, but this is still my all-time favorite single piece of X-men imagery from any book or movie.

Without TOM ORZECHOWSKI, you don't have the total package pop-culture influencing phenomenon that is most immediately called "Claremont and Byrne's X-MEN". A less-skilled letterer, or a letterer whose style was not compatible with the art, would have hurt this series. Lettering is an artform.

Issues 1-6 of THE DEATH TALLY were written while I had dysphoria, so that's how a silly story about a Reaper girl ended up becoming about a miserable cycle that I want destroyed. It won't be a pretty journey for my lead. And that's the point. Also why I'm not interested in reviews. Too personal.
