Can I ask, how are you liking Inprint? Service & quality of prints I mean?

I did this same drawing too at one time :) As a "reference model" it did a poor job letting anyone know what the heck was going on at the top of his head.. I had to make up stuff for the longest time since the drawings in the comic books at the time were just as vague 🤣

It's what really made X-Men stand apart from other comics. So many times I remember wishing Cap or the Avengers characters had moments like this in their books.

I hated it at first, it took me drawing about 10 sequential pages (over a few months) for me to fully get used to it. It was rough at first.. my lines were shaky, my art looked worse than it did on paper.. but I needed to be able to draw digitally so I persevered. Really glad I did too!

💯 That metaphor is unfortunately still just as relevant today as it was back then.

I've been wanting to do one of these redraws from the 80s toy packaging. Yours looks amazing! 🔥

Glad to see you finish issue 3! I've been off social media almost all of last month so I just missed this :( Let me know if the digital version of #3 will be available somewhere, I'd be happy to buy it. Already have issues 1 & 2 from a few years ago.

This is advice I just gave someone asking about doing comics as a career. You all might hate this advice. My advice: Step 1: Get a job, whatever kind you can get, maybe not even an art job. Step 2: Now make comics. 1 page a week is a good rate (thanks Saint Darryl Ayo).

It's not popular, but it's real world & sensible advice 👍

We can create a more inclusive, democratic, and equitable society by supporting and spreading awareness about democratically operated worker-owned businesses that empower communities and create autonomy from the billionaire class! go.bsky.app/4vBEs7Z

We are the artists. We are driven and stubborn and imaginative and self-employed and there’s nobody we HAVE to work for. We got into this because we wanted to do things OUR WAY. Maybe we should remind ourselves of that more often. 24/24

As our work is increasingly commodified, fed into AI plagiarism machines and has its value siphoned into the world of ‘content’, the humans who make all this possible are taking ever bigger hits . . . 22/

There should be a new law giving the original artist a steep discount on buying his own work.
