This is such a useless argument. JD is not liked by conservatives and doesn't have the cult of personality trump does. So yes, him replacing trump is absolutely the better option.

Nonsense how?

That's very much accurate to the character

Yeah fair enough, but given the current climate nothing good for trans people would come from this

And the parents who won't certainly won't be letting their kids watch something that does... It just creates negative buzz in general about the issue and foster more hate. A Pixar show isn't going to change their minds...

I mean, plenty of parents will? It's not like it's somehow Disney's responsibility to parent someone's kids. Obviously it's something parents *should* talk about but it's also absolutely the parents right to choose when and how... How is this controversial?

Right right, it's also not as if superman is the only one being crucified here or has commonly been depicted as a messianic figure before... Gimme a break

He retracted his remarks after they gained unwanted attention and Disney told him to lol. You can still find recent interviews with him where he clearly isn't happy with it. And yeah the guy who played him for 3 movies certainly understands him better than some guy who comes in to write the 8th film

What's illiterate about it? The closest person to understanding him, Mark Hamill, fundamentally disagreed with everything RJ did. I don't care that Luke failed, but it needed to be *in line* with his character. Not have him repeat a mistake in a much, much worse way.

Absolutely nonsense plot from all angles, and a desecration of one of the greatest heroes of our time. Biggest second weekend drop in the saga's history. To quote Luke from this movie, "The legacy of The [Last] Jedi is failure"

She needs to cut her losses and dems need to pick a more popular candidate. She underperformed fucking Joe Biden.

It doesn't give any answers as that's a very vague and non specific answer that almost seems like it's intentionally dodging the question. TLJ is so not as deep as people say, and those that do can't even explain why it is. You are right about one thing though, the dialogue is very simple.

Here's a question for you on this "movie about failure": how did Rey fail, and what did she learn from it?

This idea has been present in star wars since 1977 when Han came back to save Luke and allow him to blow up the death star. 99% of the Jedi in the prequels were "nobodies" as well.

All valid points though? Your dismissive-ness of them does not do anything to actually offer up an argument against them... Funny how he apparently made a movie so great it killed all talk of his TRILOGY from Lucasfilm 💀. Kylo destroyed the entire Raddus bridge and they were like "pull back bud" ❓

Actually curious. What sticks out to you in terms of screenwriting for this movie? The fact that the entire Fiddt Order fleet doesn't send the thousands of TIEs they have to swiftly and decisively eliminate the resistance? Holdo's lesson to Poe being "blindly trust leadership"?

I mean it certainly didn't save it lmao. They preemptively offered RJ a whole ass trilogy before this released then we're quiet as a mouse about said trilogy ever since. Wonder why?

I also see this argument all the time, but how is it "great" even on its own? The main plot of the world's slowest space chase is just nonsense. Kylo and 2 other TIEs take out the bridge of the radius and nearly all the top brass yet they decide to not only not send more but pull them back? Wtf?
