yes and using Jews as a pawn to spew that type of language is just plain wrong. how can you say you want to “talk with someone more” to see their perspective but also bully them for having it? wtf?

the BIGGEST failure with the Dems is this “wait your turn” approach to politics, those with the most influence always tell those they disagree with that it’s not their turn. they become so entrenched they die in office w/o mentoring the next gen.

the news would be on Fox News and Newsmax 24/7 asking for their impeachment

you’d be surprised, some people just LOVE the smell of diet coke and strong orange makeup

you did your best despite the circumstances, wish we still had you for comptroller for the next 4 years but there’s brighter times for you, I’m sure of that. we’ll fight with you in the meantime and beyond!!!

exactly, you could even be blonde hair, blue eyes, but if your politics don’t match the man in the WH, you get the boot and they will try to deport you, especially so if you’re one shade darker or more no matter what you believe. they’re deporting MAGA Cubans.

the money spent on his campaign and all the legal expenses of his lawsuits could be better used to make the lives of New Yorkers better. I hope he comes out worse than Anthony Weiner.

thank you, I thought that very thing… her excuse was “he was elected by the people so I won’t remove him”, but a bigger number votes for Zohran and she can’t recognize that?
comment in response to post
he sold his credibility a long time ago, and the few competent people working with him knew to resign, so I honestly don’t know how the media thinks he can redeem himself
comment in response to post
thank you. what’s sad is that the ultra orthodox community will line up to give their vote to Adams just because he promises their leaders things, yet he hangs with real antisemites and no one cares
comment in response to post
what a great strategy, the same way it worked the first time, surely second time’s the charm 😉
comment in response to post
it upsets me because it’s like saying antisemitism > Islamophobia when any forms of discrimination are bad, full stop. you can’t be against one form of hate while ignoring others
comment in response to post
do these people really think Israel = all Jews? what’s wrong with recognizing a state’s existence without supporting all their leaders actions? she didn’t even bother to do her research before attacking him for something he never said or gave support for.
comment in response to post
ugh, it really upsets me when politicians put people in a box, you’d think she was straight from Israel just based on what she’s saying. Jews are not a monolith, nor any group. there’s plenty of otherwise normal phrases that the fringe will take as theirs.

that’s similar to when people freak out about “Allahu Akbar” saying it’s a call to t*rrorism, when all it means is “God is great” in Arabic, which isn’t only said in Islam.

that race is going to make a good example of how RCV will push one of them over the top, it’s likely she may not be the winner, especially since a few of them cross-endorsed. idk if she did too.
comment in response to post
the only thing I use the Times for are their election dashboards, their “endorsement riddle” ruined their credibility for good in my mind
comment in response to post
you’re right, I’m saying if it happens I won’t be surprised. ofc they’re not putting their brand on the line for Adams of all people

it’s almost like he’s trying to cosplay and act like cops when they’re driving their private cars
comment in response to post
this is the guy that wanted to license e-bikes? yet he drives as if he never got a driver’s license?
comment in response to post
I won’t be surprised if the GOP drops Sliwa and endorses Adams at this point he’s way past the point of redemption imo and I really think anyone on the left of Adams will be more turned off by him.

his relatability is a big plus, I first learned about him at a forum and I spoke with him 1 on 1 about his plans. I didn’t come in with expectations when we chatted, yet I knew from that moment he was authentic and from there I knew I’d rank him somewhere on my ballot
comment in response to post
his recent experience is so bad he needed to invoke the memory of his father to get people to vote for him. he attended few forums, avoided journalists and had no grassroots campaign staff talking to voters

& New Yorkers that moved out years ago but drive into Manhattan once a week for their jobs and think the city “is already asking for too much”
comment in response to post
same as our military spending, we need more to make the world safer, duh
comment in response to post
this guy has wet dreams with Cuomo, I hate to be that person but endorsing him during the 2nd debate shows how much of a weak man he is, especially saying he’d cooperate with the WH 😏 yet everyone raved about his YIMBY plans
comment in response to post
we should definitely set up super questionable super PACs to just waste their money. tell them to advertise on newspapers and snail mail because “social media isn’t real”, and use the change for a lavish vacation to Fiji 😂

we need ranked choice voting for general elections, namely similar to California’s system, and open primaries. there’s a growing number of independent voters
comment in response to post
I didn’t get the sense that any candidate made a big deal about their religious background either, we need more figures who will see the commonality between us versus what divides us
comment in response to post
she’s never gonna admit it but she probably hates that AOC is a bit younger and growing while she’s been a state senator for quite a few years
comment in response to post
wow, just pouring money in a campaign works! scandals schmandals, that’s all nonsense!

let the belongings flow up to Albany!

the ones ranking him #2 or outright endorsing him are cucks, don't rank someone you know is so up their ass they're only thinking of how your work gives an advantage to them, not the other way around
comment in response to post
wow, they had 0.4% in 2021, but yes, I was hoping Paperboy would overtake Jessica. Dr. Bartholomew sounds like a nice woman, but she didn't have strong plans and had no political experience, imo, and came super late. people who poll so low should focus on building experience as council members tbh.

an attack on one is an attack on all, you fought the good fight and we beat Goliath this time, hoping we see him retreat to Westchester or anywhere far, far away from the city
comment in response to post
I agree, being someone of non-American origin, a Muslim and a socialist is a no-no for a lot of these people. even the definition is off, he’s what you describe a social democrat. yet, we elect lukewarm, corrupt centrists all the time and no one is calling for centrists not to run.

the slate strategy and Lander’s cross endorsement helped tremendously. seeing Tish James at his campaign rally shows the support beyond his immediate team
comment in response to post
if Sliwa had last minute victories like the Pacers did, then sure, but Mamdani has to be strong whether or not the other candidates do the same. I’m glad these big orgs are seeing that dumping money in an election Elon style doesn’t mean you’re winning
comment in response to post
the establishment here in NYC needs a house cleaning, way too many people calling Cuomo to resign endorsed him, especially labor unions
comment in response to post
I felt the same way, though I had the feeling Levine would win. I forgot who said it (maybe Errol Louis?) that they weren’t vastly different as candidates, just in their style.
comment in response to post
does anyone know why that is? I thought Jess was picking up significant support and people weren’t too happy with Chris

damn, even where City Hall is, it’s a darker shade of yellow. truly meant to be

I was hoping for this ever since the Knicks lost, we needed good news
comment in response to post
I was saying the same thing! I never thought I’d be more hopeful for SI than the Bx, I really thought Michael Blake would carry it but people went with the default I guess

happy birthday buddy!

I was watching the live stream as well! Tish James is really one of the real ones, she’s a fighter

hmmm, his kids probably ranked Zohran without daddy knowing 🤭
