I don't care to discuss this, but I'm happy to tell you that you are a soulless cretin for your immoral and dishonest position on Ukraine as well as your selling out any principles you may have once had. I enjoyed your book, but when I read it I had no idea what a terrible person you are.

Was about to make the exact same joke when I saw yours. The story almost seems to invite it.

I know, how can you catch a ball like that and run it within 2 feet of the end zone without ever entering it?

Did anything ever come of this? I don’t remember any reaction. Does that line still appear in the opinion?

Cooper points to Wilkinson line in 4th Circuit opinion that the government's claim that there's nothing more to be done to facilitate return is "shocking" to the conscience..and that indicates that there's misconduct

Haha it's outrageous, I admit it.

That is my concern with the Dispatch acquiring SCOTUSblog. Your assessment is exactly the one I make in the post. Why would someone think it's appropriate to evade a judge's questions four times? Because that's what political consultants tell their candidates to do.

The whole thing is . . . well, it's over 48,000 words. That's nearly 100 pages of a standard book, I believe. Over 22,000 words for free. Over 25,000 for the paid subscribers who have not already jumped ship during this long delay. I hope people enjoy it. patterico.substack.com/p/donald-tru...

Also in the section for paid subscribers: an analogy for Game of Thrones fans in which Olenna Tyrell drafts an executive order targeting Joffrey. Yes, good and evil is reversed here from real life, but the concept ("I want x to know it was me") is the same.

From the section for paid subscribers: I whack the baseball head guy, with whom I used to be friends, for not only botching legal analysis (which is fine) but for aggressively attacking my integrity over it. And I do so in great detail, with screenshots.

Another sample: what is Trump really up to with the refusal to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia? I have a theory! And it's not just about immigration.

Sample: pushback against Sarah Isgur's criticism of a DOJ lawyer (later fired) who told the truth in court the moment the judge asked. Isgur, a former political consultant, wanted him to evade the question four times before finally answering.

You have to ask just exactly this:
“President Trump, can you tell us how you feel about the critical work Amy Gleason is doing?"
If you attach DOGE to it you will get a bleat about DOGE. If you ask about HER specifically you might get something completely different.

A State Bar referral would not, but they're likely not the ones most obviously acting contemptuously.

Probably to show how toothless contempt is. As Judge Boasberg will soon learn, if you want to punish someone, you have to get DOJ involved. When DOJ is a co-conspirator, and the Supreme Court says prosecution can be carried out only by the president or people he controls, the courts can do nothing.

Oh I meant one of the people on the podcast!
You’re just saying you’re a Democrat.
