NEW: At least 26 killed, 150 wounded as Israeli tanks reportedly open fire on starving Palestinians gathered at an aid station. BBC has geo-located this video at Salah al-Din road, near the aid distribution site in the Netzarim Corridor. Aid as a death trap.

“Low-income households in Britain are now 27 per cent poorer than their equivalents in France and a staggering 60 per cent poorer than those in Ireland.” 🔥 www.irishtimes.com/opinion/2025...

We all know what to do with this 💙

“Tories would be fools to fall for Boris Johnson again” Well they are, so they might… But for the rest of us, it would be like being offered a stinking piece of rubbish that we’d watched them get out of the bin, dust off and put back on the plate. Forget it. www.thetimes.com/comment/colu...

So, have you told the truth about Brexit, immigration, social care, ‘levelling up’, tax, NetZero… about 14yrs abusing power? No. You spend your life on a disinformation hellsite and you don’t call out “the lies and delusions that dominate Westminster” because your party is neck-deep in all of them.

Truth

About bloody time

Very, very good stuff from Lewis Goodall on the UK/EU deal. https://goodallandgoodluck.substack.com/p/brexiters-havent-changed-but-the?publication_id=3682342&post_id=164003947&isFreemail=true&token=eyJ1c2VyX2lkIjozMDc2MTkyNTIsInBvc3RfaWQiOjE2NDAwMzk0NywiaWF0IjoxNzQ3NzUwMjM4LCJleHAiOjE3NTAzNDIyMzgs

@mrjamesob.bsky.social brilliant analysis but explain to us WHY these knobheads still pursue this?

Brexit was never going to work, but that's somewhat beside the point now - because it has become a cult. And that's everyone's problem when seeking to resolve it.

"Nah, it's fucked Dave"

"If only we hadn’t used the EU as an excuse for our own failure. If anything didn’t work or was uncomfortable or hard, we would blame the EU. And we only ever talked about the EU in negative terms.” Emily Thornberry, Labour Finally honesty. Thanks @emilythornberry.bsky.social 😭 🇬🇧🇪🇺 1/

GB News, "If Net Zero is so blessed, why does the UK have the most expensive energy?" Dr Rupert Read, "GB News won't tell you the truth because you're owned by Paul Marshall who is a fossil fuel magnet"

Reform sneer! Ugly innit

The people behind Brexit are the same politicians now using immigrants as scapegoats to win power and divide our country. They trashed our economy and they’ve trashed our politics - don’t let them do it all over again.

As he accepted a lifetime achievement award at the 1st day of #CannesFilmFestival yesterday, Robert De Niro slammed Trump's proposed 100% tariff on film imports into 🇺🇸. I wrote about what this means for a continent dependent on American cultural exports:

This is very good from @rafaelbehr.bluesky.social (and more edifying than another Enoch Powell meme). Before he was elected, I remember talking about what Starmerism would be. The closest I could get was ‘respect’. The problem with that mantra is now emerging. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Keir Starmer immitates Reform in his divisive speech. Accuses immigrants of causing “incalculable damage”, making the UK “an island of strangers”. Rightly faces backlash from unions, employers, MPs. Silence on class war, inequalities, profiteering, lack of public services, fuelling frustrations.

I’d say Britain is a strange island more than an island of strangers. A broken clown show.

In case you missed it ... Here's the Nobel prize-winning economist Esther Duflo destroying the claim that foreign workers reduce domestic wages. In fact, they actually help UK workers by adding to the talent base and allowing the economy to grow. Getting rid of them just leads to more automation. 🇬🇧🇪🇺
