That brings back traumatic memories of The Capitol in Crawley! 😬
Why do these hotels never cotton on to the fact they are going to be busy??!! 🙄

Parts of it are playing out as current affairs at the moment 😬

I have a similar issue with another story - where do the apples come from on Frontios when we are specifically told there is no wood on the planet?!?! 🤔🤪

That was brilliant, I only meant to watch a couple of episodes but ended up watching it all. I can see why it captured my younger self’s imagination.

Oh - and it was *years* before I realised that most of it was supposed to be set outside!

TGSITG - my favourite of the season then & now. This was proper DW with its creepy clowns & properly scary moments and it all looked gorgeous. It even had a passionate kiss - it was so grown up again! I had some doubts about Gods & a bit of a magical resolution, but compared to recent events…. 👍

SN - I was so excited for the 25th anniversary special but found it all just a bit silly. However, now I see it as a bit of breezy fun and it makes a hell of a lot more sense than the programme’s recent output!

THP - at the time it was an OMG they’ve gone back to Season 24 mode - and I can remember the conversations in the office deriding it (I kept quiet about being a fan!). However, I have grown to love it over the years and the special edition has really helped let the story breathe.

ROTD - The Daleks have a bit of a weeble quality (probably just a reference for the oldies, look them up kids!) and the Doctor can now just talk a Dalek to death. However, what’s not to love, the new found confidence shines through and takes you with it. Not my favourite of the season though.

At the time (when I was 18) it was definitely a step up from what I then considered the embarrassing Season 24 and although I enjoyed it, I was constantly waiting for the next bit that would make me cringe. Now I’m freed of that self consciousness I can just enjoy it all!

I just want stories with a beginning, a middle and an end that have some kind of internal logic.
But what do I know?! 🤣🤣

Instead of limping to the final in with those “specials” and all that Time Lord victorious shit.

He could be a bit of a cock at times, but he undeniably captured that essence of The Doctor that chimed with fans and public alike. Helped by a fairly consistent high quality of stories and some great companions culminating in the pinnacle of New Who that was Season 4. He should have bowed out then-
