Given that a large part of Israel's defense is based on a mythos of invulnerability, it doesn't take many strikes to throw cold water on that image. Once that image is shattered it will be hard to reclaim.

Because they have no enforcement. Justices have always had to balance their decisions against the fact that if a president ignores their decree, there is nothing they can do about it and they don't want to ever set that precedent.

Totally not true. The founders didn't think everyone should have a vote. Their criteria was very flawed, but the idea is the same.

I don't think you can just "cash in" bonds. You can sell them on the secondary market (which wouldn't be awesome in that volume) but you can't just call them due.
