(Note: you do *not* want to live alongside or be shaped by PFAS)

Which goes without saying, maybe, but I think most people don't comprehend what "forever" means. Like, if all life on earth dies out, and then re-evolves from dust and goo in another 2 billion years, that new life will necessarily evolve alongisde and shaped by today's PFAS.

I remember listening to an environmental podcast a couple years ago where the host interviewed an expert on PFAS. At one point he asked something like, "So, how long will these 'forever chemicals' be around in the ecosystem." The scientist replied, predictably, "Forever. They will never go away." 1/

Even according to CDC data this is factually untrue.

Thank you for saying this. My partner is high risk thanks in part to a prior TBI and protecting ourselves from infection has radically reshaped our lives over the past 5 years. I wish more people who feel their own personal risk from covid is low would consider high risk folks more.

Was it because we decided it was calculable, and societal norms were more important, no matter the lives lost? Who can say

Yikes. Ignoring the gross idea that people deserve to die because they've been lied to... Many of those million died not because they listened to disinformation, but because almost everyone - liberals included - stopped masking and went "back to normal."

The problem with Covid isn't just acute infection. Covid harms multiple organ systems and your immune system. Even a mild case of Covid can have devastating long term effects. Joel's case is a perfect example: repeated Covid infections leading to a rare and dangerous brain condition.

Substituting an amoral, unthinking predictive text machine for an actual therapist and actively deceiving people by encouraging the delusion that the algorithm - which is nothing more than code being executed - experiences empathy is actively dangerous and harmful, not "pretty useful."

Must be cool to live in a world where words mean whatever you want them to.

Can’t be overstated how the Biden admin’s disastrous handling of the covid response directly fed the profiles of the exact figures who are now dismantling the entirety of our health systems. The space liberals made for these people to occupy is damage that must be undone

I'm curious what those folks thought they were getting when they followed an account called "Feral Millennial Communists of Late Stage Capitalism"

If you’re mad now, but you weren’t mad when Biden’s CDC reduced isolation times, championed handwashing for an airborne disease, ended free testing sites, and all the other rollbacks, you are acting on political bias, not science, and should probably go read some actual science on covid.

I'm guessing while I was on the streets getting tear gassed for opposing mass murder you were sagely agreeing that innocent civilians had it coming because Powell found a beaker of food dye.

Well that changes things! If Colin Powell says half a million Iraqis need to die, who are we to argue?
Those of us who paid even a tiny bit of attention realized the war was a sham from the start.

Indeed. If things that happened under a Democratic president were fascistic then I have news about what the Democratic Party at the very least enables, if not full on supports.
