Well..do you remember all those charges against Labour under Corbyn...? They clearly are terrified of being accused of that again..

I should add ..that lots of buildings get bought by investment funds, who basically force out residents and reform the building...so the income goes outside of the local area

I massively envy you living in Colorado mountains... Must be absolutely beautiful...

But here were talking about big cites like Madrid, Barcelona etc.. which are pretty cramped in the centre...so using city centre flats for tourists, basically has a ripple effect, pushing locals further and further out, with negative effects as well for lots of local shops etc

That's certainly a good point... Or someone who actually lives there...like me The problem is rental apts...

It's both a benefit and a problem...gives jobs, but means places are unaffordable for locals. Our landlord wanted to increase our rent by about 400€ a month here in Madrid. A friend in Barcelona has been told to leave her flat and there's Nothing available...all tourist lets

Someone as out of control as this man in uniform is a real threat.... I can understand he's tired, hot and pissed off, but imagine there was no camera... someone could end up unfairly arrested or battered due to his lack of control

Impressive by Mark .. I think I'd have been a bit more Malcolm Tucker in my reply... His is clearly the best response. .

No...Tucker is a Russian stooge and Russia is an ally of Iran. Remember the rhyme "Tucker, Tucker the lying fcuker.."

Reminds me of the Spanair crash in Madrid in 2008 when the flaps weren't extended... But that's such s basic error...

It also discriminates on a regional basis. People in south-east are far more likely to earn 38,700 than in my home town of Hull.... There doesn't seem to be any weighting involved in these plans, which is also ridiculous

Just dreadful, cruel, mean and wrong ...and even more so as it was a right we had before Brexshit. I try to explain it to my wife and she just says 'no, that can't be right...'
comment in response to post
May i point out that it is also massively discriminatory on regional terms I'm from Hull where wages are much lower than in London or SouthEast - If you have a house, you can live pretty well on 38,700 a year. This basically means no way can my Spanish wife and I can live in my homeland.
comment in response to post
Absolutely....I live in Spain with my Spanish wife, Both in our early 60's and aiming to retire soon. NO WAY would i have earnings of 38,000 quid. It would just be impossible for us to live in England with her... Is this really what these xenophobic scum want? to separate families???

comment in response to post
Que más da si su novio es un corrupto? Que más da los abuelos y abuelas muertas en residencias? Que más da que Mazon estaba de copas durante la DANA y 227 murieron? ...

It's just a nornal card in Spain....no apps and nothing on phone (at least not in my case with residency card)
