Pro-humanity is only anti-white if you have some delusion that white men created the modern world. Or that naturalized citizens are somehow less deserving of citizenship. You're definitely the guy, regardless of your party registration. But I'm not trying to work for you, so it doesn't matter.

My contempt is for people who believe "American" is reserved only for light-skinned people who were born here. It was luck. Not some special talent or work ethic. Like teenagers driving Daddy's Porsche like they earned it.

If you think all these things are the province of and primarily due to white western men, then you have much to learn. Though I knew that about you before this comment. As a white western man myself, I certainly do not need you to apologize on my behalf for anything.

Maybe we should beef up the natural born citizen requirements. We're letting too many idiots -whose only accomplishments are their great grandparents had white skin and moved- be full-blown citizens.

Thankfully, you're not in charge of who gets to say what.

Does trump know that somewhere, someone is celebrating something other than "straight" white men? I hope so. 🤯

We know much more (relatively) than our ancestors. We likely haven't scratched the surface. Our insignificance is a source of spirituality. "God" anthropomorphized has much to answer for, assuming the centrality of human existence in the cosmos. Who the hell are we, though?
comment in response to post
The conceit of humanity is our all-powerfulness. This exists on both sides of the Religion/Science "divide". Dr. Sagan is celebrating our mediocrity. Science is our effort at improvement-to know more. The more we know, the more we don't know. The "gaps" only appear to get smaller.

True story.

I mistook your reply as coming from the person I was replying to initially. I'm not referring to any particular god. Just the concept of a supernatural force. There is no objective evidence for or against. Saying there is no god is not a statement of fact. Without facts, it's an opinion (belief).

Who's arguing over fables? I'm certainly not. The nature of belief is a study of human psychology, which is not a fable. Though human psychology is still not fully understood.

It all starts with lists of people. Those that decry comparisons to 1930s Germany are not paying attention.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews...

Integrity? Did he really say that? Does MWM have any idea what integrity means?

Sorry. Just realized you were not OP.

Thanks for the lesson in etymology. You state your "beliefs are driven by facts". Which facts drive your beliefs? The "absence of god" is not a fact. It's an assumption. A metaphysical position. A belief, depending on how strongly you feel about it. But it is not a fact. Facts matter.

Atheism is a belief. There are no facts that support a lack of the supernatural.

It's always a nice reminder to see that the richest, most powerful nation in the history of the world is being run by a incompetent, ignorant toddler who hasn't been potty trained yet.

What has Barron trump done to be considered successful? I don't think being the spawn of a fraudulent billionaire qualifies as success.

Simple logic dictates that while all Christ's teachings are from biblical texts, not all biblical texts align with Christ's teachings. And they don't tend to exclude anyone from "thy neighbor", at least not in Christ's teachings.
comment in response to post
"Biblical texts" aren't the same thing as Christ's teachings. There's not much dissonance between "love thy neighbor as thyself" and "blessed are the peacemakers", amongst numerous other examples of what Jesus Christ purportedly said.
comment in response to post
I'm not sure who decides official definitions of these things, but calling yourself a Christian and following the teachings of Jesus Christ are not the same thing.

He's so good at lying that he does it even in between breaths.

Share this far and wide. With any luck, the orange toddler will lose his shit. If he had a sense of humor, this would have much less power.

Now is definitely not the time to be cool! But if we make sure trump's malicious ignorance precipitates a spectacular fall from "grace", America will be better than before. Assuming those that need to learn the lessons of trumpism do in fact learn. Sadly, the death toll will rise before then.

Maybe, but my 401k grew 10+% per year during the "terrible" Biden presidency. The tax deferrals also helped.
comment in response to post
I'm not sure "better" is the right word . While technically true for the reasons you mentioned, less destructive may be more appropriate. Vance or runner up Johnson don't have trump's ability to contradict himself in one breath and have millions praise the second coming.

His words are no less true because you've never heard of him. trump is a piece of shit, plain and simple. He may be in the office of a world leader, but he is in no way a leader. A draft-dodging nepo-baby? Yes. A whiny little bitch? Yes. A leader? Definitely not.

"Hatred is born of ignorance. Fear is its father and isolation is its mother." Thank you for your words. My son read your book a couple years ago and watched your tedx in class. I just watched it at his suggestion. Your existence gives me hope for the future. Thank you again.

He's already procreated, so no Darwin award. He was born before 1957, so probably won't get measles. Maybe he'll get COVID, but I would bet money he is vaccinated.
