I been seeing the funniest replacement for it recenlty too, an indie remake of battlefield heroes, same aesthetic, granted it's a funny old FPS remade as a new game....

I kinda now wanaa see how sizes in new edition of horus heresy will end up....because this would be funny force for that period

That does sound like it would help the space. Also would be fun to watch.

With how few of them are nowdays, I think they wouldn't mind some of it, and let's face it, the main problem here is not really them...it's people who don't want to pay their workers....

Not likely, unions are ones making those trains run, and are understaffed as is, it's really just underinvestment in trains.

This reminds me how for my silly little junkyard mech wargame I wrote that battle ends when one of the mech becomes "shortlived, dirty sun"

GW can make good games that are fun, but mainline games aren't the ones, heresy, necromunda, even kill-team and imperialis are fun, but ya, need to talk people to move on from game that is not good...which is hard with some competitive folk I agree

In all honesty, 10th ed was a bit boring to begin with, so....perhaps going to heresy is more fun....
Only thing heresy will lack for a while will be orks which is sad...but fixable.

As someone who has been introducing folk with less then strong finances to the wargaming hobby, I can if you want drop the basic tips to avoid...the steep costs of it...

I do believe such comment was for a time meme about space marines from necroj POV

Not always, my old accounts got take down twice for telling a transphobe to eat a brick.

Ya, though they are smaller ones, weirdldy average height of primarchs seems to be around 8 feet, same as primaris, since ya, scalecreep of marines got kinda silly

Well, I found comparing a lot of older guardsmen to historical models of 28mm scale, I found that you can shrink them quite as ya, heroic scale hands, heads and bodies do lead to overal larger guardsmen. So in a way, you can do it XD
comment in response to
post
As all of those truescale talks will always bring up the funny factoid that some primarchs...were size of primaris marines XD
comment in response to
post
Ya, even if they are remakrably rather tall tanks, and I will be honest, having played few other games in recent times I kinda want to see truescale 40k people make models smaller, not bigger, since smaller true scale guard and marines and vehicles might be quite fun.
comment in response to

Yup, as I think only tanks to even compete in sizes of silly if we use say ww2 ones is char 2C is almost as long as a baneblade and almost as tall as it, but nowhere near as wide, and it's a landship of a tank
comment in response to
post
Interesting, since one thing I noticed from printing and working on historical stuff, 40k vehicles are often quite wide to look nicer, compared to some historical examples. I have got some tanks from history to compare sizes if someone needs a photo
comment in response to
post
Also, side note, it's more visable in guard stuff, leman russ is hilariously wide and tall, that only tank I have seen to be comparable in how hilariously long it is Char b1, which itself looks quite oddly sized next to many tanks.
comment in response to

Very much also true, so making it about 1,4 times bigger would work and would get to around a bit smaller then old size of rihno
comment in response to
post
This is interesting, because if anything I always viewed rihnos as oversized for what they are doing, as many 40k vehicles (outside like planes) are too big I would argue, espescually if you put them next to similar historical vehicles at same scale. m113 for example looks hilariously tiny
comment in response to

Frankly, small countries are kinda great and more small countries should be allowed to exist...
comment in response to

This reminds me of a joke suggestion, if Leman Russ comes back he is a Ynarri character, because he fucked up going to garden of nurgle so much, isha had to save his ass

Frankly it would be hilarious to see that, but discworld operate on "what makes the best story" rules so any fight in VS is moot because it plays out in a way that makes the most fun story.

And the building of models was so far...that if you seen my black grail, that's marking my building of all factions having one warband of each (not all variants...yet but for now I did all that been released xD)
There is also a reason why I love courts, when they came out I kitbashed an entire team
comment in response to
post
It was, I read the rules and made this warband in like two weeks from random models I had spare in my bits box, with few bits printed from drop of resin I had. If you are interested, the bandaged heads are an old trench crusade stl, I can get you the link to it XD

This reminds me of how in one game jam I was in our team made game intro by filming one of the Devs with a hat and used a filter to make it darker. It's like not that hard. Also passes as a fun Easter egg
