The Spending Review keeps getting better. This time, a funded support package to ensure the poorest children do not go hungry during the school holidays. The £1bn of funding for crisis support through local councils across the whole country includes holiday food funding for children.

Been a full on week for Labour. I’ve gathered just a few highlights. Most important in my view, is Mone. Being held accountable for her failed PPE supply. I hope we get our money back. Daylight robbery under Labour does not pay

Reform play games. They are not committed. They want the power, but don't want to do the work. Reform are letting people down just weeks after their first major success - because they are work-shy.

Tory leader Kemi Badenoch calls for end to windfall tax on oil/gas companies. They have been making record profits, fuelling inflation & poverty. Tory silence on tackling poverty, no remorse for two child benefit cap, austerity, privatisations, destroying the NHS and public services.

Yet another great Trump deal!

Major US climate website likely to be shut down after almost all staff fired Exclusive: Climate.gov, which supports public education on climate science, will soon no longer publish new content www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

I’m proud that the ULEZ scrappage scheme, the biggest in the UK, has supported so many Londoners to switch to cleaner, greener forms of transport. It has made a huge difference to our air quality.

Private Eye exposing again the utter idiocy of our politics. This sums up *exactly* how Farage and Reform get rocket-boosted by a media, drunk on sensationalist nonsense. Unserious and irresponsible but it’ll be up to us to prove them wrong.

London has benefitted massively from ULEZ and you have to salute Sadiq for pushing it through in the face of stiff opposition from the boring old climate change deniers and the right wing media.

"Why is Reform seemingly finding politics so easy?" Well, one reason is the media coverage they enjoy from the right-wing press and - to its eternal shame - the BBC. It is more than disappointing that after a yr in office, team Starmer has done zilch to encourage its return to impartiality.

This may have been overlooked in the Spending Review coverage in favour of the bigger departments, but the Crown Prosecution Service is to receive over a 10% increase in funding. It may only be £96m, but it will help ensure it can meet increasing demand while also modernising how it works.

During my 60 years of life, I have seen a gradual but drastic change in climate. Ever warmer. Climate change is here, the future looks difficult, yet the British media attacks net zero day in and day out.

Emily Thornberry, "I have to admit that when Brexit happened I thought the problem of Gibraltar was going to be so difficult that I really couldn't see how we would ever get over it" So basically the UK continues to celebrate the end of FOM with the EU, while Gibraltar is celebrating FOM 👍

GOOD NEWS: The UK Government is keeping their promise to insulate our homes - so people can stay warm throughout the winter while using less energy. 🗣🗣🗣 The solutions that help people struggling with the cost of living are the SAME solutions that will help protect the climate. PASS IT ON. ♻️

If anyone thinks ‘the daily mail aren’t that bad’ please take a look at the horrible nonsense they’re saying about Greta Thunberg right now. Grotesque.

12 June 1929 | A German Jewish girl, Anne Frank, was born in Frankfurt. In 1942 on her 13th birthday she received an empty diary. She perished in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945. 'Human greatness does not lie in wealth or power, but in character & goodness.' (A.Frank)

Low cost BYD's are here. youtu.be/b7bluFIzSxg?...

At PMQs yesterday, the PM mentioned the TWO hospitals in the LOTO's constituency. She responded with the 'fact' there is only ONE hospital in her constituency. It turns out there ARE actually TWO hospitals. This was the same PMQs where she mentioned how she gets better and better each week..

🩺 Why’s Cyprus saving more men's lives? Cyprus 🇨🇾 now offers free PSA screening to all men over 50 Cyprus has a 99% prostate cancer survival rate England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 only reaches 89% That’s a 10% gap — costing 5,500 lives a year cyprus-mail.com/2023/05/11/f...

‘Millionaire Exodus’ the UK Millionaire-Owned Media Told You About Never Actually Happened. 9,500 millionaires reported to be leaving the UK in 2024 represented 0.3% of the UK’s 3.06m millionaires. Fake stories create panics, want people/govts to be slaves of the rich. Tax the rich.

India is building out cheap solar power so quickly it's possibly going to lead to a fall in India's coal consumption this year

You have to love the Brexiters losing their collective shit over Gibraltar becoming part of the Schengen Area. It's happening BECAUSE of Brexit which has made life very difficult on the Rock and that's why 95.9% of Gibraltarians voted remain.... but apparently Starmer is giving it away

🇬🇧 🇪🇺 Tom Brufatto, from Best for Britain, said: “It seems that this pragmatic agreement will allow Spanish officials to operate in Gibraltar airport, providing much needed certainty for the thousands who cross the border every day."

This is from Reeves. No wonder the elite are hopping. They’re having to pay us more: “Real wages have grown more in the first ten months of this Labour Government than in the first ten years of Tory rule”. What’s not to like?

In Ceredigion, out of a population of 71,500, only 16 people objected to any of the 20mph roads managed by the county. That's just 0.02%, and shows strong public acceptance of the default 20mph limit. #20splenty making Wales an even better place to be. bit.ly/43Tn4Xf

Study on London 20 mph limits shows: - collisions ⬇️ 35% - casualties ⬇️ 36% - fatal/serious injuries ⬇️ 34% - child casualties ⬇️ 46% - child deaths ⬇️ 75% - walkers, cyclists, motorcyclists killed/seriously injured ⬇️ 28% etsc.eu/20mph-limits... #PMQs

"Chancellor Rachel Reeves confirms £2.5bn boost for Oxford-Cambridge railway, reigniting ambitious East West Rail plans" 👏👏👏

While the British media cheerlead for the far-right Reform party, there's close to zero coverage of the significant gains the Green party are making in council elections.

Farage and Reform risk ruining Port Talbot and Wales - Reform Party will put up to 10,000 energy jobs at risk at Wales- davidtoke.substack.com/p/farage-and...

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

Protestors stop looters and save businesses in Los Angeles. US Media won’t show you this. “We don’t do that shit” #3E #stopICE
