Glad to see Sir Sadiq is pushing on regardless of the NIMBYs. Oxford St needs a major revamp and this is the only viable solution.

I've only got "lilac handkerchiefs of strongly worded letters to the Telegraph comment section" I'm afraid..

VAT on school fees has so far allegedly paid for: - Breakfast clubs - 6500 new teachers (mainly by making teachers from independent schools unemployed as they close due to VAT) - affordable housing This is despite the VAT take being less than suggested as more kids leave those schools.

If you want to see a system that works smoothly, check out the Emirates ID and the TAMM app that sits alongside it. Not perfect of course but very well integrated. (Frankly, I'd take anything just to be done with Government Gateway and the myriad of other equally annoying systems we have).

Not all Independent schools are Eton. The little one that my kids go to is nurturing, outward looking and global. No chance that any of the kids there would end up as Brexiteers.

Betraying Brexit? When Brexit betrayed those who voted for it? Hmm.. short memories indeed.

This. This is the number 1 thing that Ed M could be solving TODAY. He should have done it in July 2024.

With which the Gov should respond to F*rage with "How many fisheries group meetings did you attend (as a member) during your years as an MEP?" Followed by "Now get back in the sea"
