Pause for a second to consider the howls of MAGA outrage if a white Christian missionary who overstayed their visa in France was shipped without any due process to a prison in Libya. The US will now be doing that sort of thing at scale for the foreseeable future.

1. Because of the practical realities of US politics, coverage of the run-up to this war (which has been historically unprecedented for a war of choice) has taken it for granted that the decision rests entirely with Trump.
But Trump's decision to enter the war is unconstitutional on its face.
