Portland polite strikes again. It's an insidious way to keep the racist status quo in place.

That's a great deal! I have a 2021 UA Family that I bought for US$6,000 and put a few hundred a year for insurance and a few hundred for maintenance and have put 6,000 miles on it (about half of that in the last year).

He's probably composing a strongly worded letter that he will hand to the officers when they come and handcuff him.

It's not hard imo: "what's in my kids' best interest is to have diversity at school and get to run into your friends in your neighborhood while we are walking or biking around". I you want more (esp if you have privilege that other students don't have) work to get it for all students at your school!

“Its small size” 🤨 This is systemic racism in action. Not a dig, it’s just the truth. I agree with Christy Splitt that affluent white parents are going to be upset about this, and it’ll be quite enlightening to watch.

If that's accurate, that's double-dipping. If it's funded directly from another source, it seems extremely shady to also count it only as a rise of costs without noting a corresponding funding amount increase that makes net inflation from PERS = 0.

😮 That's a wildly unbalanced sharing of costs, in addition to high salaries and abuse of OT with exceedingly limited accountability, which should be the price for such a rosy comp deal.

That post seems to just be describing France, which remains a G7 country.

I appreciate the commitment of @counciloravalos.bsky.social to protecting PDX from Trump. I was here in 2020 and for long before and I remember all the lawlessness by PPB and the Feds who are supposed to be bound by laws and oversight but acted (as they often do) with impunity.

The more you learn about ODOT the more shocking it is that Democrats like Lew Frederick and Tina Kotek are at least ambivalent to stopping the megaprojects or imposing accountability on the department (using examples of people whose positions I have followed as an #orleg constituent).

PCEF is working the opposite of how some or the best funded agencies in this state like ODOT work. It's outrageous for @oregondems.bsky.social in #orleg to keep throwing money at ODOT given their track record, especially on megaprojects. Lets fund things that work on budget and ahead of schedule!

At this unique time in our history, if you haven't changed your voicemail in 4+ years, your staff never answers the phone and you spend 3 months on a book tour, I think you should be disqualified from running for re-election. @wyden.senate.gov www.hachettebookgroup.com/articles/mee...

ODOT knows how to waste money to line the pockets of their contractors. Fences, boulders and counterproductive highway widening! Wish anyone in #orleg was interested in pressing accountability for their spending before giving more $ the way they are to school districts who have to cut every year.
