Thanks for posting. For the moment any deal reducing tariffs is good but if Trump gives better deals to any of our competitors in the coming weeks nobody in the U.K. will be happy. Great analogy of Trump rescuing the drowning man he just pushed into the water.

True but unfortunately it’s not as black and white as that, many remain very badly off. The damage was done by removing the payment after claiming they wouldn’t and strangely claiming they had no choice. It could have been handled so much better.

The damage is done and any attempt to return will actually cost more than before the withdrawal. Following the withdrawal many of the very worst off, not taking up benefits, were forced to do so, otherwise they could not get the wfp.

For anyone finding this comforting, you’re not paying attention. The only reason for these proportions is that most were councils were not up for reelection. Reform got 31 percent of votes cast.

Regrettably our system won’t allow a party with a liberal agenda to get enough votes to win when opposed by a populist right winger. Educate the population to see the danger (as could be seen after Hitler) is the answer but memories are short and in the short term that isn’t achievable.

Unfortunately hundreds of thousands that voted Farage don’t think like you and unless you can persuade them otherwise a right wing Trump puppet nutcase will be our next PM. To win Starmer will have to demonstrate progress in the things you don’t care about.

Spot on. The art of the deal: Give away what’s not yours to give and grab some nice assets for yourself. Wash your hands and deny responsibility when it all goes wrong.

Congratulations! I haven’t seen a post like this since I left twitter.

Agree but we have to watch America’s resolve or lack of it. If the US isn’t clearly on our side Russia will test NATO by small attacks into NATO countries.

Problem is he’s enabled by other fools that will keep supporting him and Republican senators that are too scared to stop him.

I’d be surprised. Trump under pressure to help American farmers his actions have nearly bankrupted and these 2 will be top of his list.

I fear it will be much sooner. If Trump abandons NATO Putin may hit weapons in a NATO country on way to Ukraine. What would NATO do?

I’m sure you’re right but I believe the majority will walk (fly actually!) When your broadband provider wants to put it up by £10 pcm do you just say ok or avidly look for a better deal?

It’s more than government interference for countries outside the US. Hurting Tesla is a way for those who couldn’t vote against Trump to show America isn’t bullet proof.

He may help Teslas performance in the US but every where else in the world it looks like a feeble cry to save a sinking company in a country we are all coming to loathe.

‘’’king Trump!

I believe it’s likely that there will not be free and fair elections in the US in 4 years time and it will be like Russia’s elections. Vote for Trump’s puppet Farage and the same will happen here.

Like you, I doubt the U.K. figures and I believe they are being provided by those with something to gain. I’ll bet in 3 months time these will be shown to be incorrect.

I believe you have to order a Tesla 3 months in advance so my guess is that these figures do not reflect the current U.K. loathing for Musk. It wasn’t apparent to most what a nutter he was 3 months ago.

Which bus was that? Not sure which comic you get your news from. Massive anti-Trump pro Canada sentiment here. Starma is right to help Ukraine by acting as a bridge and has the full support of the free world.

Divide and rule probably. He’s set on damaging Canada and will buy steel and aluminium from others, leaving Canada isolated. EU and U.K. should not help Trump under any circumstances.

I’m sorry to appear pessimistic but I don’t expect America to get out of this. Trump and his enablers will tighten their grip over the next 4 years and if you do have elections they will be like those that elect Putin time and time again. I hope I’m wrong.

It’s like you’ve played the first half of a game of chess carelessly and suddenly realised your opponents have you boxed into a corner.

I don’t have a lot of faith in the plan working but wouldn’t it be great if Starmer pipped Trump to the peace prize.
