This was part of the Sarne Helen, over the mountains to the slate old works at Cwm Penmachno and then back via the Cwm Prysor Viaduct. I hurt today. ๐Ÿ˜‚

And that was blast! Hill climbing in North London, including Swains Lanes and Ally Pally, and then a slow roll back via the Union Canal to the pub! Perfect Sunday by all accounts. ๐Ÿค˜

These are ace - thank you! Next long weekend I think I might slice and dice these together and do some exploring around St Albans / Hertford / Ware! I'm always looking for new trails. ๐Ÿค˜

Those trails are stunning! I was looking at the route earlier and trying to see if I could push it a bit further north via St Albans / Albans Way. Possibly, but legs would hate me. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Yeah it was a perfect spin up the River Lee, through the woods and into home via North London. Legs hurt now though. ๐Ÿ˜†

Thank you Jon, Iโ€™ve spent a bit too long unable to travel so now I'm cramming it all inโ€ฆ by bike of course. Not sure I'm ready for air travel just yet. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Thanks Jon, that's great to know. This trip will really push me out of my comfort zoneโ€ฆ itโ€™s a hefty route and a long way from home! But sod it, I've learned to pedal my way through the anxiety these days! ๐Ÿค˜

I'm surprised it was The Sex Pistolsโ€™ โ€œGod save the Queenโ€ Jon! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Yeah not too bad. A few squelchy bits around Claygate but otherwise good. I came down a different trail on Ashtead Common last week and it was errโ€ฆ fun! ๐Ÿ˜‚

and yes, they are pissy locks but ideal for leaving your bike where you can see it. Iโ€™ve several of these to secure items overnight when bikepacking! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Yes, do it! That incident was massively stressful but thankfully brute force worked. Now need a new lightweight cafe lock! ๐Ÿค˜
