Republicans in Congress are trying to rip away health care from millions of Americans unless people "prove that they matter." Do billionaires need to prove they matter to get trillions in tax breaks? Or just babies, new moms, and seniors in nursing homes in need of health care?

Across the government, the Trump administration is scrambling to rehire many federal employees dismissed under DOGE’s staff-slashing initiatives after wiping out entire offices, in some cases imperiling key services such as weather forecasting and the drug approval process.

Sorry to step away from the catfight, but we’ve got a win! A federal judge has temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to dismantle AmeriCorps halting the termination of grants and its volunteer network!

Just posted this. It’s absolutely wonderful. Consider checking it out!

Trump and Musk are feuding. Marjorie Taylor Greene doesn't know what was in the bill she voted for. Joni Ernst is walking through cemeteries and saying we’re all going to die. Would be funny if they weren’t kicking 16 million Americans off their health care.

Men are too emotional to use social media

It’s called taxing the rich, buddy.

Happy Fragile Straight Man Month!

Always!

On left: Supreme Court: Questions of statutory interpretation of Alien Enemies Act are subject to judicial review Middle: SCOTUS dissent: We all agree 9-0 (ALL federal judges have agreed on this.) Right: Monday, Judge John Holcomb: No court should interpret AEA; POTUS decides what it means.

Get the kool-aid out

I spoke about the Missouri GOP overturning our will on abortion and earned sick time and a higher minimum wage and when I tell you the rage that seethed in that room at the mention of those things…it was palpable. open.substack.com/pub/jesspipe...

A lot of government workers go unnoticed—until they’re gone. The problem with letting the ultra-rich call the shots is they don’t see us. To them, we’re disposable… until the day they need clean water, a working 911 line, or someone to put out the fire.
