The unprecedented strike on Khan Younis is profoundly distressing – tens of thousands forced to flee under evacuation orders, while humanitarian zones are bombarded. Australia must sanction the Netanyahu government.

Why won’t Australia sanction, or even threaten to sanction Israel? Gaza has been starved intentionally since March the 2nd.

The last 48hrs has seen more communities fearing for their homes and neighbours as flood waters rise. Thoughts with everyone impacted right now and thanks for the selfless work of SES crews.

The aged care deal that Labor and the Liberals stitched up last term jacks up costs and protects the bottom lines of private providers - without guaranteeing quality care. Older people aren’t commodities. We must end for-profit aged care and put the rights of older people first.

We're in a poverty crisis, a housing crisis and a rental crisis. Meanwhile, billionaires are still making out like bandits. Labor must lift it's ambition and stop tinkering around the edges if we're to reverse the course.

NSW police have been on notice for 20 years now that their strip search practices are illegal - what will it take for the NSW Government to finally bloody step in? Hoping this class action is part of the answer, if they won't listen to the community or law maybe $$ will do it?

There are a lot of hot takes out there but here’s one thing we DO know: the next term of parliament has the potential to be the most progressive in history, with the Greens holding sole balance of power in the Senate. Whether it lives up to its potential will be up to Labor.

A right-wing propaganda outfit attacking the Greens and boosting the Libs in inner Brisbane is funded by the coal industry. Surprising! 🙃 www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

Centrelink payments are below the poverty line. Labor and the Coalition are more than happy to keep them there. The Greens are proud to have real policy solutions that provide immediate relief to people living in poverty. By voting 1 Greens, you're voting to lift people out of poverty.

Australia is losing the war on waste. The new Senate inquiry report into Australia’s waste reduction and recycling policies shows clearly that our current and historic federal policy framework has failed. It is time for strong, political action on the waste crisis.

Solidarity with Greens volunteers copping harassment from Advance at early voting. Advance is funded by fossil fuel billionaires who are TERRIFIED of the Greens. They're trying to bully our volunteers and stop them campaigning. It won't work. We're still coming for them. ☺️

$18 billion. That's how much Labor is ripping out of public schools by delaying full funding. And in the process they've left the door open for Dutton's cuts. Every child deserves a free, world-class public education. And they shouldn't have to wait another 10 years for it.

Raise the rate of every single Centrelink payment above the poverty line so that everyone on income support has a fighting chance at a good life. That's it. That's the skeet.

Thousands of older people are in low wage jobs or on JobSeeker poverty payments. In a wealthy country like ours, no one should be struggling to survive in their later years. The Greens have a plan to return the pension age to 65 and lift the pension above the poverty line.

The PM says he wants Labor to be "pro-aspiration". What about the 3.5 million people in poverty? Or the 2.6 million kids in underfunded public schools? Or the 7 million renters paying soaring rents? Or the disabled people booted from the NDIS? Where's his aspiration for them?

The poverty rate is the highest it's been in 25 years. Yet Gina & Clive are hoarding billions while 1 in 3 big corporations pays no tax. This is no accident. Poverty is a policy choice, and it's a choice Labor and the Coalition continue to make. It doesn't have to be this way.

Labor promised to end income control at the last election. Instead, they teamed up with the Coalition to effectively extend it and to enable future governments to expand it without the need for further legislation. The Greens are now the only party fighting to end income control.

The LNP's Member for Flynn thinks blackouts are a "political opportunity". This is a member of parliament hoping that the energy grid collapses so it can be used as fodder for a disinformation campaign to prolong coal and gas. They're not fit to govern. www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

In a wealthy country like ours, no child should go to school hungry. This is why we've just announced the Greens plan for free school meals for every public school kid. Peter Dutton wants free lunches for CEOs. The Greens want free lunches for school kids.

I cannot imagine a world in which a straight politician is attacked for caring about their partner and family. The vast majority of Australians support LGBTIQA+ people. Whoever put up this banner should be embarrassed at how out of touch they are.

Labor has done a dirty deal with the Liberals to not preference the Greens in Macnamara. This now risks the Liberals winning the seat, and bringing Dutton one step closer to the Lodge. Labor voters will be furious they are helping Dutton with preferences.

Scots College has received $78.5 million in public funding over the past decade.

Deliberately targeting an ambulance is a war crime - there is no room for debate here - Free Palestine www.theguardian.com/world/2025/a...

In a wealthy country like ours everyone should be able to afford childcare, but too many families are struggling with the cost. The Greens have a comprehensive plan to fix it. We will provide free, universal, high-quality early education for every child.

Trump is dangerous and unpredictable. Shackling ourselves to the US has always been a mistake - now it's just madness. End AUKUS.

Labor promised to abolish the cashless debit card. Instead they teamed up with the Coalition to expand compulsory income management. The Greens are the only party committed to abolishing ALL compulsory income management.

Peter Dutton is reading from Trump’s Project 2025 playbook. He's fantasising about a right-wing school curriculum that indoctrinates our kids on the wonders of neoliberalism and European colonialism, and the evils of collective action and diversity.

Dutton’s Trumpian mission is to gut the Department of Education and impose a far-right curriculum by holding schools to ransom. No parent wants Peter Dutton standing at the whiteboard in their kids' classroom. This election, vote Greens to keep Dutton out and get Labor to act.

Peter Dutton will hold public school kids to ransom, withholding funds unless he gets to decide the curriculum. He can’t help himself - cutting public school funding is in his DNA. Vote Greens to keep Dutton out.

Greens pressure works! After adopting most of our plan to see the GP for free, Labor has now followed the Greens’ plan to make supermarket price gouging illegal.

Greens' pressure works! Labor has adopted our plan to make super market price gouging illegal.

Rents are soaring. Looking after your health costs a fortune. The climate crisis is worsening. But Labor and the Coalition have no answers. Better things are possible! But nothing changes if nothing changes. On May 3, vote Greens to keep Peter Dutton out and get Labor to act.
