I wish I could, but the money being collected for your Substack product is going into the hands of a right-wing American company that partners with fascist orgs. Please #BuyCanadian and migrate. Would love to click, share and support you but I cannot. It's easy to migrate - I did it for all of mine.

Please start posting all this onto another platform that’s similar to substack but without the same issues of platforming nazis. If it’s not a ton of extra work it’ll give a more moral option and the more people who start to migrate the quicker an alternative will grow. Just need creators to build

And to be abundantly clear, it's the company themselves - where the dollars go - who partner with and support fascist groups, not just what's on the platform.

Please stop funding, with your dollars, a fascist American company to post about what they're actively supporting. That isn't resisting. Instead support a Canadian company that doesn't partner with fascists, it's easy for paid newsletters. I can't click or share your stuff and want to!

I’d be interested to know if there’s any data around foam being worse for fit checks — I’ve never heard that around the maskosphere the past 5.5 years :)

I've passed fit check with foam in multiple brands/styles (though I nearly universally use mask tape on chin as well with disposables - not that its needed but important). I think it's important to mention that too, as this implication might not be too fair.

Totally know what's up and in detail - I'm one of the very few still living that life, and part of the advocacy in my 6th year of social isolation and exclusion. But thanks.

Totally! I've done that time/amount once - also heard it's safe and normal if doing it like that, and it's a huge change (was for me too! was never taught healthy until it hurt!). Great to check tho 💙 Well done and congrats!

Valid and commendable!

Part of the 'learning history and being watchful' is not ignoring that you're helping fund a fascist USA company like Substack (who, as a company, partners with fascist publications, & is well known to support fascist ideology internally). There are easy alternatives to migrate to for your funding.

Oh poop, save lives? Heavens!
As if anything in this still ongoing pandemic - from any PH - got remotely close to "zero covid" either. Maybe a few regions like NZ, for a short while, until vax n relax took over without scientific honesty (infections still possible/damaging/spread, wane time, etc).

Yep - sounds like it’s already eating its own tail in the latest models. With over half the internet it’s training on already slop, it shouldn’t take long to get much worse. Remove incentive to think and create (not just money, but art being found/seen, even), and … this.
Already.

Side note - Substack is actively migrating from pushing subscriptions you can move with to followers that ties you onto the closed wall platform. Better to shift sooner rather than later.

Like open source options - self hosted Ghost, Wordpress. Plugins. Or go with Kit (Creator network), or Patreon. Can hire someone like me to help, too, or just search Reddit.

Great options. For disposables love the fit of iMask, Drager and Moldex!
