So .. Judith Collins is championing the repeal of a bill that ensures access to govt information for low literacy citizens because "it's a waste of money" but can't actually define what the "waste" is other than referring to possible costs that have already been incurred three years ago. #nzpol

And for the rest... I'm just reading "I don't have that information". #nzpol ...

So we're saving money on... something that has already happened...? #nzpol (this is pretty much a direct quote from the press release).....

That sounds a lot like an encroachment on civil liberties, wouldn't you say?

Didn't Michael Wood get hounded out of politics for the same sort of stuff (minus the direct influence)? Or is this different?

One of my fav shows. Pax and Nic's chemistry is superb. Nerdy older sister/annoying little brother vibes.

I loathe Judith, but at least she wasn't weak.

But many public servants don't need those things, but are still being "managed" back into offices. Make it make sense.

When they say "efficient" what they really mean is "cheap".

"The old model cost $340 million annually whereas the new model costs $170 million annually and achieves the same results". One might argue, in light of the community element that Arena outlines, that it does, in fact, NOT "achieve the same results".

It's also the bike tree because the council haven't put bike racks outside New World. There's scooter parking instead.

Actually, "hating us" IS fine. It's not feelings, but actions that matter. If we want to be able to protest peacefully, then our haters have the right to as well. We shouted and banged on pots at Posie Parker's appearance. They did a haka. "Too far" is storming a building and assaulting people.

Standing outside with signs - no problem. I want that right so it needs to be ok for everyone. Storming a building and harassing staff and visitors is thuggery - 100%. What I am pointing out is how absurd that they are storming a library over a story about weather.
