Love the cartoons that Tex, Tashlin and Bob Clampett directed.

If any starting pitchers get injured or otherwise struggle, Hayden Birdsong could go in the rotation.

I’m an MLB geek and always love seeing this! Jack Kinney not only was a terrific director, he wrote the funniest book I’ve ever read about working for Disney.

For me, the list needs to be a Top 300!

And. . . the Psychotronix Film Festival, which started a few years after NIGHT FLIGHT aired.

The Billy West episodes of GGACP were terrific!

My preference is to intersperse lots of other short films (cartoons, comedy shorts, 1950’s cigarette commercials, Soundies, bloopers, etc.) between the trailers.

Trailers for bad movies invariably are way more entertaining than the movies.

Love THE HOLE IDEA, directed and animated by Bob McKimson, with story by gagman supreme Sid Marcus.

Those cab driver sketches he did with Jack Burns.

One of my former employers was a film distributor who had reels of Edsel commercials on 16mm.

Helmed by the great Jack Kinney, my favorite Disney cartoon director.

Having been in squarely the “oh, to be 37 again” category for 30 years now, I’m not surprised by this, even given what fantastic and creative All-Star players Curry, Green and Butler are.

This clip pleases me no end, as the Giants' defense was at best NO BUENO in the 2022-2023 seasons.

The Columbia cartoon, in addition to THE FOX & THE GRAPES, that features Tashlin's cinematic approach and comedy timing is the hilarious WW2 piece WOLF CHASES PIGS. If the soundtrack was by Carl Stalling, you'd mistake it for a WB cartoon.

Had the pleasure of seeing this great movie at San Francisco's Castro Theatre a few years ago (pre-lockdown, IIRC) in the Noir City Film Festival.

Remember seeing THE COCOANUTS and ANIMAL CRACKERS on TV way back when the Marx Bros. films had a popular revival. Loved them, but really got floored when I saw the subsequent Paramount "4 Marx Brothers" features. Hope more 1928-1929 Fox films starring ultra-zany Clark & McCullough turn up.

One of the best of the best from the Friz Freleng WB crew and Mel Blanc! This, RED RIDING HOOD RIDES AGAIN, a zany Columbia Color Rhapsody cartoon from the Sid Marcus - Arthur Davis gang, and Avery's RED HOT RIDING HOOD are an excellent trifecta.

Love this Vimeo channel! I gave you a shout out last week in my Way Too Damn Lazy To Write A Blog post about the one, the only Cal Howard, cohort/collaborator of Tex Avery and writer of both early late-night television and Incredibly Strange Cartoons.

The Giants' situational hitting and defense have improved dramatically. The 2025 G-Men, led by Chappy, Lee and Adames, enthusiastically demonstrate The Buster Effect, while the Golden State Warriors win via The Butler Effect.

IT'S LOVE I'M AFTER, co-starring Davis and Leslie Howard is a lesser known classic among her numerous Warner Brothers films.

Was lucky enough to see Harold Lloyd flicks in big screen glory at the San Francisco Silent Film Festival, the Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum and at the Stanford Theatre in Palo Alto. Harold Lloyd features are especially wonderful seen with an audience.

As the joke goes, DUI hires all. Leon makes me think of once talented 1960’s rockers who dropped acid and mushrooms so many times that they lost their ability to play their instruments and spell CAT.

As Johnny Carson used to say on The Tonight Show, “I did not know that.” IIRC, Bob Clampett thought the world of Manny Gould, a brilliant animator.

Bought a slew of Warner Archive DVDs and Blu-rays when they had the 4 for $44 sales. Will have to check to see if they still have some of the randier Pre-Code flicks available.
