The equipment used to enrich uranium, such as high-speed centrifuges, is delicate and easily damaged by bombing. Actual enriched uranium is not delicate, and is impossible to destroy by bombing it.

You think you know a random stranger on the internet, and then they just come out with this I can't even.

Newsom won't save us, but his current actions may inspire someone who will.

If they wanted to detain protesters they would bring in more cops. Deploying the marines means they want protesters to be shot.

Sports gambling is an exploitative business that preys on addicts, ruins countless lives and produces absolutely nothing of value. It's bizarre that anyone would think they are entitled to respect because they made lots of money from it.

They are 100% going to charge that guy with attacking a police horse. Also because LAPD.

"Serve six months in ICE, you will go free"
comment in response to post
My fear is a scenario in which ICE kills a protester, and that Trump responds by giving the killer an immediate pardon plus a medal and a million dollar bounty. Things could get very ugly, very fast.

The worst part is when the rescue team arrives and immediately calls back to base for a larger helicopter.

Doesn't go far enough with the gold. All the parts of the plane currently made of steel or aluminium - wings, engines, all of it needs to be replaced with pure gold. Nothing else will suffice.

I can't get past the unintended double meaning of the slogan "America's Back" with the Trump photo.

There is no crisis. There are many careers (e.g. firefighters, military) requiring physical strength and courage if a young man wants to prove himself as masculine. The difference today is that woman have more financial independence and don't have to put up with men treating them badly.

"Pope Leo" Looks like calling people by their preferred name isn't that difficult after all.

They pushed Elmo too far, and nobody was prepared for the consequences.

This is a good point, but no mention of tariffs either. We're all just speculating based on no info here, but with this admin assuming the stupidest course of action has been a good indicator so far.

No way would Trump ever refer to Nigeria as "highly respected"

What if the deal is lifting the current trade and financial sanctions against Russia?

Usually it turns out the thing really was a problem, it just wasn't a problem that affected them personally.

For a guy who interpreted a hurricane in Texas as a sign that God wanted people to buy his merch, Bakker seems remarkably oblivious here.

Yes, it should be as ridiculous as possible. Trump could award himself a medal of honor, insist everyone sing happy birthday to him, or maybe have the parade include a giant gold-plated Trump statue.

Alito is broadcasting the real reason for his dissent from the first sentence: his objective was to delay the decision for as long as possible so the deportations could be completed.

"... leadership would assume the risk" In reality, leadership intends to throw them under a bus without a second thought. That's why leadership is giving verbal orders only for the illegal stuff, so they can blame it all on the junior staff.

Good to know that demonic attacks can be repelled by tweet now, seems safer and a lot less hassle than the old style exorcism.

The plane was less than halfway to El Salvador when the judge ordered it to turn around, so I'm calling BS on this explanation.
comment in response to post
So far, the plane to El Salvador has not turned around. This is looking like open defiance of a court order, an incredibly dangerous moment happening here.

Voluntarily giving your lunch money to a bully before they even ask for it does not protect you from the bully, it only sends the message that you can be easily bullied.

An alternate strategy to controlling the courts is simply to leave positions unfilled. If there's a waitlist of several years for a trial, and trials can be stretched out for several more years using procedural delays, any unfavourable judgements can be just delayed indefinitely.

I'm not an economist but if you "reoriented the economy to the private sector" shouldn't that mean money goes into the stock market, causing stocks to go up?
