Man is an imbecile. So now ALL Ph.Ds are cancer specialists?
He's SO toxic that even cancer cells prefer to grow elsewhere. (Yes, I have incurable cancer myself, so I know it's no joke. Just disgusted.)

Ah, I hadn’t realised it was your personal (if that’s the appropriate term in a professional context) allocation of gift links. Sadly, as a retiree I can’t support your excellent journalism more directly, but my daughter does.

Yes, only free for the first N viewers. In the case of the FT, N seems be quite small. Very annoying.

Actually, you only need 2 pencils - one for each nostril. (Then bang DJTs head hard towards the Resolute desk)

Yep, CAR-T is my great hope for the future, assuming I’m eligible and it works (for me). 🤞
Great story BTW. Never read up on the drug’s development history, so thanks! Alas, the US health “system” seems to be an object lesson in untrammeled greed. Obscene, by any reasonable standard.

Thank God I live in the UK.
I too have this horrible disease and am currently on lenolidamide (a generic) as part of my “3rd line” treatment. Year 6 is coming up soon for me; my daughter’s wedding is next week. 👏
Life can sometimes be tough, but my oncology team are AMAZING and it’s all FREE! 👍🤞

Ironically, 14th June is the same date as our (UK) King’s “Official” birthday (he has two!)
This includes an elaborate and complex small-scale military parade known as “Trooping the Colour”.
So, no kings, eh, Donald?

“Dame” Jenkins is a “female knight”. This is her version of knightly garb i.e. armour. The way she behaves, she will need the protection! Vile creature, no shame or moral compass.

Used to live on what was then South Humberside, having got my first job in Immingham. Truly grim - I still have the mental scars. Been back there since - nothing’s changed.
How can the people of N. Lincolnshire vote for Farage’s lot after the Brexit/fishing fiasco? Seriously, how? 😖

@carolecadwalla.bsky.social did warn us and tried, with her colleagues, to head this off. My sub falls due next month. I will not be renewing. 🙁

Exactly - as I have pointed out elsewhere, they had to admit IN COURT that they were in an "entertainment" channel. (To avoid a huge payout re. Dominion, I think). Slimy Murdoch, again...

From today's @theguardian.com
...the best word to describe SSA right now, just complete, utter chaos,” the worker added. “They couldn’t understand the coding, so everything they said SSA was doing illegally, they weren’t. Common sense is something they lack. They don’t know what they’re doing.”

Musk has never been formally diagnosed with any form of neurodiversity. Most high-functioning autistics (i.e. Aspies) are very truthful and fair-minded. Not all, admittedly, but Musk’s interactions with others, while strange, leave me unpersauded that he has ASD. Professional evaluation is needed.

But, taxing the (very) rich? Even if it did not raise as much as hoped, since some of its targets are slippery and unprincipled, it would make a clear political point. Labour values, anyone?

If Brexit is the elephant in the room, this is surely the baby elephant. Property in the UK has been a sacred cow since long ago: Thatcher?; WW II?; between the wars? A huge mess, a political minefield.

I recall that a while ago Fox News had to admit - in court - that they are an ENTERTAINMENT channel! So, why are they still allowed to call themselves Fox NEWS? 🤔

Yes, we foreshadowed this here with Brexit. People thought they had nothing to lose; they were so wrong!
Yours is worse, though, in both size and scope. Democracy is on the very edge now, I fear.

Wow, that lays it out better than anything I’ve seen. Imagine what a difference that money would make to those at the very bottom. A stark example of how greed is distorting everything.
I tagged oligarchs as ‘mentally ill’, by definition, years ago. Seems I may have been right.

People didn't go for it, hence no investment in films.

Not that I am aware of - we tend not to do things like that over here. In any case, Murdoch was "in bed" with Thatcher from the very beginning. When he wanted to buy the (London) Times newspaper, she in effect fired one of her ministers to ease the way for him; just after they had dinner together!

Nohone here will talk about Brexit - it's typically British and also very frustrating! The Europeans have been burned badly by our exit and are not in a hurry to have us back. This does not mean that they would not welcome closer links with us if that were possible. And now this... ☹️

Also bear in mind that most of our press is owned by oligarchs and is very anti-Starmer. We have that b*st*rd Murdoch here too!

We massively weakened the UK with Brexit! This was an error almost on a par with the re-election of Trump. Our current government now have to play catch-up - somehow - but they risk damaging some of our most needy people. Unless something changes, the geopolitical outlook for the West is grim.
