Looking forward to this

Another cracking stage at the Tour de Suisse, which has effectively been a handicap race since day one. Almeida is clawed his way back into the contest, but I'd love to see Kévin Vauquelin win the GC now. Such a gutsy performance today

I'll be interested to hear why Aleksandr Vlasov went over the San Bernardino pass first, taking the #rideforGino prize, ahead of Pello Bilbao. There was a discussion between the two riders approaching the summit

Vauquelin: I was a bit surprised because they were just three, but we were eight - well, seven without counting Felix Ouch! youtu.be/Kr25Z1YNLsM?...

Quite a day for France's young musketeers. WT stage wins for Martinez and Grégoire, Seixas unfortunate but still sensational at the Dauphiné

Tour de France director Christian Prudhomme spent his Saturday cleaning up litter at the Peyragudes ski station in the Pyrenees alongside 150 volunteers. The resort will be the finish point of a mountain time trial next month www.ladepeche.fr/2025/06/15/i...

There’s a good reason why Brits don’t know the Pyrenees all that well and this story underlines it. There are nine holidays in the Alps and none in the Pyrenees www.theguardian.com/travel/2025/...

Today's 162km Tour de Suisse Women's stage looked like it might be a slog for riders and viewers. I'm sure it was for the riders, but it made for great viewing with all kinds going on from start to finish. Chapeau to all involved, including the organisers for plotting it out

This is well worth a read. I had a pulmonary embolism in 2017 caused by a clot in my calf, which swelled hugely. I was short of breath cycling and running, went to the doctor and she, thankfully, realised what was happening. I spent the next four days in the local cardiac unit

The Maison du Tourmalet, which opened at the summit in 2023 and is adjacent to the Octave Lapize sculpture, has produced a new film on the pass's long and storied history in cycling that'll be shown on its 360° surround screen. Here's a clip... youtu.be/4G0UBwrUwlU

French cosmetics giant L'Oréal is set to replace Ag2r as Decathlon's co-sponsor in 2026 according to Breton daily Le Télégramme

In further Tourmalet-related news, this Saturday sees the return of the Octave Lapize sculpture to the top of the pass for its summer sojourn. This year's procession will start in Luz-St-Sauveur, the sculpture and accompanying cyclists setting out at 10am www.ladepeche.fr/2025/06/05/m...

The cafe at the top of the Tourmalet has been reopened by the team behind the Chez Octave cycling-themed venue in Bagnères-de-Bigorre, whose backers include local pro Bruno Armirail. Well worth checking it out if you're riding over this iconic pass www.ladepeche.fr/2025/06/06/f...

The Giro was superb, particularly the last week, but I’m bemused by the “Pogi is boring” narrative that’s been woven into it. Bike racing’s never been as good in the 40 years I’ve been watching it and he’s primarily responsible

London has become a cycling city archive.is/8YEjR

The stage wasn't a total failure for UAE. McNulty moved up to 9th on GC from 10th

almost seems like UAE either forgot that WVA was up the road or what he's capable of

UAE have made a total horlicks of this stage

De Bondt setting the pace for Carapaz/Del Toro as a thank to UAE for not chasing down Nicolas Prodhomme yesterday?

Tomorrow the Giro climbs the legendary colle delle finestre then finishes in Sestrière But one can get to Sestrière from Finestre on gravel via 10 passes all higher than the high Finestre. Amazing. Recommended. Details - www.cycling-challenge.com/strada-della...

Del Toro now leads Carapaz by 41 seconds and Yates by 51. Will that be enough on the two long mountain stages on Fri/Sat?

Gutted for Romain Bardet, but that was a stunning performance by Isaac Del Toro given his struggles yesterday. Brilliant viewing

Simon Yates looks set to jump to 3rd place on GC in this TT. Been in the background for the first half of the race, but will be right in the mix going into the big mountain stages

French TV saying that tacks have been thrown on the road at the foot of the TT's descent. Police reported to be on the scene

Not only Gautherat's first win but I think it's Luke Rowe's first as a DS. Good day for Decathlon
