I’m well over 50 years old myself, but the debate on Radio 4 is clearly by people and for people that don’t engage regularly with new music and younger artists as illustrated by the promotion.

I note that the Glastonbury audio ad that BBC Radio 4 are using this morning promotes “Rod Stewart, Nile Rodgers and Chic, Alanis Morissette”. All of these artists are over 50 years old. #r4today

Just FYI, Bob Vylan is the name of the band. They’re a duo who perform under the individual names of Bobby Vylan and Bobbie Vylan. Check out their music

So was he unable to delegate effectively or is he a control freak? Good leaders have a team they trust

The BBC need to think about their priorities too. Failing to broadcast the Gaza medics film while simultaneously hand wringing about musicians with a conscience isn’t a good look

He seems to be making questionable life choices of late, including his willingness to “give Nigel Farage a chance”

There’s pretty much zero enforcement of any road traffic offences that aren’t captured by automated camera systems. When I recently reported an offence of this nature to the police I was told it’s not a civil offence and should raise it as a a public nuisance providing all the evidence myself

Did you watch over the men who fell?

It’s also way past the time that the government used X as a social media platform

Is this the same Priti Patel that was sacked for having unauthorised meetings with the Israeli Government?

I rarely pay more than £20 for gig tickets and don’t mind getting sweaty for a tenner or so but £60 for a venue with no air con is really not on

Many thanks for the correction!

Ah, The Telegraph, once held in high esteem as a serious broadsheet is now filled with fiction and delusional editorials

Looks like the fact that Iran was already negotiating until attacked by Israel and now the USA hasn’t got through to Starmer

I don’t think the pub will be an issue for me this time. Nice early start and finish too so will be home before midnight which will be a novelty for a Brixton gig for me. The setlist seems to be change every night which is also a bit different.

I’m there on Sunday for the last show of the run and my expectations are astronomical after the great reviews I’ve seen so far. Looking forward to Working Men’s Club too who I’ve enjoyed live a couple of times before

I wasn’t disputing it. I also heard stories that the battery casings would be damaged due to people holding the antenna and using the radio as a club

Long time telecoms devices software engineer here…. I’ve heard the same story.

I can’t for a minute believe that anyone involved in the US Army parade had put any significant effort in. Marching out of step is actually quite difficult once you’ve been to basic training. Seems to me people were being forced to do something they really didn’t want to do

Also, when I served in the RAF I was taught to march and wear a uniform properly. A lot of the footage shows a bunch of people wearing fatigues ambling around out of step

That would imply they have any interest in what’s happening outside of California right now

Indeed. There is also a fee for blue tick accounts. Basically the UK taxpayer is subsidising the platform.
comment in response to post
Meanwhile many accounts funded by the UK taxpayer (including Kent Police) continue to post on the X platform, thereby giving it credibility

Nostalgia for a country that never actually existed is all that these idiots have. Also, the planet is on fire and they just don’t care
