We're taught simplified ideas when we're young to make it easier to understand concepts.
Ideally, we keep learning more and understand depth and nuance.
Math, biology, social studies, etc go way beyond the morsels we learn in elementary and junior high.
Some people think it just stops. 😠🤷♂️

1. No, it doesn't.
2. Not for everyone. Some like it in tandem.

This makes me think of FB posts of people complaining, why did they teach us trigonometry in school instead of X?
Most people don't realize how much about the world we were taught directly and indirectly, but they just weren't paying attention.
Also, don't know how to research complex topics. 🤦🤦♂️

I remember when this was becoming a thing like 20 years ago.
A fair amount of hospitality folks in Europe, Australia, etc. said they weren't fooled by the fake flags. They could usually tell the difference between Canadians and US Americans by their behaviour.
