This looks an awful lot like Schumer just forced the clerks to work all night on a weekend for a performative protest he couldn't even be bothered to attend.

Who could have predicted that other than the many, many people who predicted it?

"Superman: Up in the Sky" by Tom King, an amazing series for that and several other reasons.

He does not have all the cards. He does want to do bad things, and he very much wants to use power.

Yeah, except Hinton's concerns aren't about "AI ethics" as much as they're about "AI safety". Less "hey is this perpetuating bias and filling the world with bullshit" and more "hey is this the singularity".

It's either completely performative, or else they've deluded themselves into thinking that the Trump admin feels shame. Cowardly in either case.

Me watching Evangelion the first time: "cool, giant robots and monsters!" The second time: "wait, why can the robots only be piloted by 14-year olds with severe emotional issues?" The third time, once I knew to look for a thematic layer in addition to a literal one: "ooh..."

"Diversity of thought" is almost always code for "give conservatives the microphone", nothing more.

That's a happy boy. Shorthair or longhair? It's hard to tell from just the head. One of ours, for the cat tax:

Your occasional reminder that Monterrey to Mountain View is a 90 minute drive but Zuckerberg apparently doesn't want to drive to where his jet is parked.

"You're spending too much money on giraffes." "What? I don't own any giraffes." "My sincere apologies. You're right. You had a balance of $34.209 last month and spent -$100343243.3888 on giraffes, leaving you with only $99999999999 in your account. "...what?" "You should buy a giraffe."

Anyone who makes that Dr. Evil face for their official government portrait should be arrested on the spot just to save time.

Did you see them disappear anyone into unmarked vans for deportation to El Salvador? Or do they only do that when you're not around?

Democrats reach out to voters, instead of expecting votes just because they're not Republicans? Gasp.

I mean, it's easily explained, but that doesn't necessarily imply "sense".

If Peterson hadn't been a transphobic douche then no one outside of the U of T psychology department would ever have heard of him and that really just sums him up.

Have Kathleen Stock and Jesse Singal co-host, for "balance".

It was Ontario residents (specifically, Mennonites) refusing vaccinations for "religious" reasons. That's why the measles outbreaks in Ontario started around Waterloo. Not immigrants. White, Christian, Ontario residents who've been here for centuries. Your prejudices have led you astray.

I hope Harvard uses their deep pockets to sue Trump right into the goddamned ground.
