I don’t know much about football transfer season etc but perhaps team USA could make an offer for Zelenskyy and trade Trump somewhere? Not sure who might take him, Belarus? Just thinking. Be nice to have a serious leader surely?

No. No. No. Please do not be this stupid … we have literally been here before. The ‘special’ relationship only exists in the UK psyche. Do not send our young to die for this crap. No love for Iran leadership, but what happens next???

When yer rootin fer the banks …

Well, this is going well 😂 Reform councillors reported to police by colleague

Well, even a stopped clock …

It would be nice to imagine that the US’s BFF and perpetual lapdog won’t join Trump in Iran. However …

Awful, appalling crime. It gives me some hope for humanity that 57 years was not long enough to stop civilised society, through the police, trying to bring the perpetrator to justice.

We’ve truly lost our way in this country. An 80-year-old vet who fought for this country just got arrested protesting Trump‘s parade. He deserves respect, not handcuffs.

Roger Daltrey knighted for services to ending European touring? Ah well, he’s made his money. #Brexit

It’s definitely a sensible way forward but, for the dreamers of #Brexit : imagine being turned away from a British sovereign area because you’ve spent 90 out of the past 180 days in EU states. How’s Nigel’s future suiting you?

If Thames Water gets nationalised (it should), it patently has no commercial value. End of.

He’s presumably going to be deported now.

Your reminder that, in the UK at least, anyone can call themselves a nutritionist. If you’re ill, see a doctor.

Is Trump purposefully escalating or is he just a toddler trying to enforce his will? Kind of feel like escalation might be a tactic in a play and, to be honest I’m really not convinced he’s that bright. Meanwhile, yay… we’re giving this moron a state visit.

The conditions that have led to what’s happening in the US today exist in democracies around the world. They are an inevitable outcome of our collective failure to adapt to fundamental changes in the information ecosystem on which our democracies were originally built.

Pretty dim if the Dems went anywhere near musk but, does this mean US now a one party state?

Never read his books or watched the films/series, however, this guy seems all right - for a brummie (obvs).

Ukraine employs precision strikes on legitimate military targets, Russia launches indiscriminate attacks on civilians. Putin will probably never go on trial, but he absolutely should do.

Wonder what would happen to Tesla and SpaceX if Elon’s residency status got examined? So many things to wonder on these days.

I wonder what Farage’s next party will be called.

I had no idea Reaction Engines had failed. What a huge shame, it seemed to have been almost there. The British jet engine that failed in the 'Valley of Death' www.bbc.com/news/article...

Our water bill has doubled in the last 7 years. I checked the bills, we aren’t using any more water than we were back then, the thing that has changed is the charges. Infrastructure crumbling, monopolies(!) going bankrupt after years of profiteering. Great Britain indeed.

Err… didn’t Bailey say Brexit could be good for UK?

Having largely grown up in NW England I think this should read “A chronic lack of investment and maintenance by privatised water companies has been declared.” It rained throughout my entire childhood. It’s grim oop north.

"Transparent admissions reporting is vital: it can expose unfairness and illuminate a system that too often remains hidden from scrutiny." No, this isn’t a coup. The danger with clever pranks is that we fool ourselves into thinking that “we” got one over on “them”. We must not lose sight that justice requires investigation and action within a justice system. I wish the authorities were quicker for sure. Let’s not settle for less.

If Trump prevails, international students will simply not go to Harvard even if they have the chance (for brief windows). Make no mistake, this harms the US and Harvard equally. Maybe Harvard should relocate?

Surely better to put him in a glass case labelled “Geopolitical risk”?

Not convinced. Our GP flat out closed their appointment booking system weeks ago until the end of May, apparently pending a new system. You have to call on the day for urgent issues only.

If it lands in your garden you get to keep it right?

And yet, Mrs. Chiles will stump up for this column of drivel. How fortunate!

Oh dear, Mind you, this follows in a long tradition of despotic or otherwise bonkers rulers watching as their new toy sinks. A stern assessment indeed.

This is Vino. Yes, he farts every morning before breakfast. Yes, they still sometimes surprise him. 13/10

#Brexit such a momentous waste of time, emotion and money.

Norm!

Thames Water exec claims bonuses would be paid by lenders, not bill payers. Lenders, in my experience, want to be paid back.

Let's talk about these two department store owners: brother and sister Louis Bamberger and Caroline Bamberger Fuld. From Newark, New Jersey. They are random people, basically. But in the late 1920s, with fascism taking over Europe, they made a choice that profoundly changed the world: 🧵

We are horrified to hear that Iran's supreme court has upheld the death penalty for #Tataloo. A man condemned to die because he supposedly insulted Islam. Nothing short of barbaric. www.msn.com/en-gb/news/w... #FreeTataloo
