I never really understand why the U.S. feels like it has right to demand another sovereign country do anything it asks, even if what they’re asking is obviously the right thing to demand for the world. It’s always made me uneasy.

Oooo… a phone with a chord… that you hold onto your actual real ear to speak into. Be still my beating, nostalgic heart.
In my head I just heard my angry dad shouting; “…and you’ve only got five minutes before I hang up the call from the other room!”

Met Ian at @lawlesscomiccon.bsky.social a few weekends ago, and it was phenomenal to hear from him, understand his approach and process. Lovely man.

You just know that the tech-bros and dictators are all trying to work out who gets to own the moon. It’s ’For All Mankind’ playing out in bright ketamine-fuelled Technicolor.

Lacked a bit of punch. But had some nice mellow ‘driving’ tunes on it.

Flaws. Feelings. Empathy.
Not data points. Not tokens. Not loss functions.
Because the heart of humanity isn’t a problem to be optimised it’s the reason we’re worth replicating in the first place.

Not going to vehemently disagree with all of that.

I’m saying I disagree about Altman. The man is a Siren. Pure fraud.
But. Just to get factual; McCulloch & Pitts in 1943, Turing in 1950, McCarthy et al. in 1956 etc etc.
Ai is not a new concept. It’s been an almost century long improvement programme.

I’m not a fan of any kind of surveillance technology, period. But I’m going to suspend my skepticism until I see the actual actual final product and not speculative mock-ups and futurism guesses; It’s Jonny.

Any nation that mandates mayonnaise with their chips is a good group in my view… I would immigrate to Belgium almost immediately and enjoy the trappings of being a Flemish celebrity.

Thank you 🙏🏻
Last year when the band were touring we set up a dozen small, very discreet cameras absolutely everywhere and just let them shoot constantly when there was interesting things going on. It was a blast. About 4tbs of micro-moments. Fun to watch and play with.

Honestly loving it. Not my normal prose for sure, but it’s good to go off piste occasionally and this is fine story telling.

Who was at @lawlesscomiccon.bsky.social at the weekend and in fine fine form. An incredible talent and we were all very fortunate to see him working his magic and getting to chat with him.

I listened to this last week and it’s a really lovely, slightly goofy, nostalgic trip back through Bowie and the Labyrinth. It made me go off and re-listen to the soundtrack, and it’s a phenomenal body of work. Of its time, so dated badly, but still lovely.

Probably from my favourite Bowie era TBH. I’m a fan of his early work, but I’m also a child of the 90s and he was cruising high late 90s.

Nothing wrong with that pick — the entire soundtrack is a blast. Some of Bowies finest work.

I was going to say ‘Dance Magic Dance’ from The Labyrinth but decided that would expose me.
