IMO it’s not accurate to blame the virus on wild birds. No offense intended but IMO negligent and cruel factory farming practices are to blame for the proliferation of the bird flu virus and wild birds are innocent victims. We’ll just have to agree to disagree.

Pathogens are everywhere. Parvo is endemic for instance. Bubonic plague was caused by a bacteria that is endemic in the Grand Canyon. Bacteria and viruses are everywhere and will thrive under the right conditions.

Factory farms are to blame for this avian flu outbreak, not weak immunity in chickens. Under normal conditions, and I mean where they have room to run outside on the ground in the sunshine, fresh clean water to drink, healthy chickens would not be succumbing to this virus. IMHO of course. 😉
