This is what my docs told me to do, too. Premed with antihistamines before the vaccine

The reaction is because the spike protein is a powerful enough mast cell degranulation trigger (see journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/...) that it can cause MCAS symptoms even in people without MCAS. Prophylactic antihistamines do not affect vaccine efficacy; they just stop the side effects.

Same here. Took a workshop with Minnie, have friends who were her grad students. But they’re absolutely memorable. Those few interactions are so so vivid.

Gotcha! 😂 On another note, I wish Minnie could have seen this. Although, I'm honestly not sure what she would have thought of it! Minnie and Leslie were both pretty cantankerous!

Reading that piece you would think the bans were mountains that had always been there and advocates just mindlessly started an avalanche that buried us, when in truth we were dragged into an asymmetrical war overnight. The first ban in 2021 was so unthinkable it was vetoed by a Republican governor.

The good news is that the German government has decided to replicate PubMed/MEDLINE because of a lack of confidence in it's current infrastructure www.medpagetoday.com/special-repo... #medlibs

I have been carefully not mentioning the YouTube videos in public spaces because virtually all of the federal sites shut down or edited removed the links but not the videos. I was hoping they'd forget about these. Oh, well.

We got slowmo now! Looks a lot like the top tank was just kinda shit and let go. Fire first means that was probably the methane tank with the LOX tank letting go shortly after. Does mean that this could have been worse - if the LOX let go first and hyperoxygenated the air for the methane...

NASASpaceflight is apparently saying that test articles for the upcoming V3 Starship booster, a new version that's supposed to explode less, was on a test stand at this site and is also probably scrap metal now too. So this not only blew up the one for this month, but a *future* one too.

Holy shit. Judge Young is furious about this. I hope someone wrote down how his full speech on this. It's extremely powerful.
He's furious at what he sees as racial discrimination.
And he also finds it "appalling" that government would cut research on the health of LGBTQ Americans.

After ruling, with anger in his voice, Judge Young:
"This represents racial discrimination. And discrimination against America's LGBTQ community. That's what this is. I would be blind not to call it out. My duty is to call it out. And I do so."

The history dovetails with my recent realisation that for trad publishers, the enemy isn't censorship, IP theft, or the plagiarism slop machine. No, the base assumption for tradpub C- and managerial suites is that the enemy is *writers demanding a fair price for their artistic labour*.

Sending care and caution to #ParshaChat while I crash today. Sorry, all - I can’t focus

A1: I also think this makes the most sense if we read it not as God punishing people for breaking rules, but as there literally being things that have to be done correctly in order to contain dangerous divine energy so it doesn't break out and hurt them. #ParshaChat
