šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ What happened to your vintage 1980s phone skills, good sir?

They are a more elegant means of communication for a more civilized time.

I absolutely CHERISH those moments, Katy! Listen up, younguns, the telephone was designed with a ringer that you can set to high or low. This was, wait for it, by design so you could decide if you wanted to hear an incoming call or not. I’m not sure of this ā€œviolation ā€œ of which you speak. šŸ˜‚ 1/2

It’s nice enough, but the elementary school isn’t so hot. Maybe I’ll have my boys home schooled in the jungle room.;-)

You are very welcome, dear colleague and friend.

How does the cold brew and 2 diet cokes belay a panic attack? I make you a counter-proposal (as though I have any say in the matter): A green tea and two pieces of fruit. :-)

Don’t get me wrong, I care about the health and wellbeing of all Americans but to pick on those who’ve worked for decades and have now retired is unacceptable.

It breaks my heart esp. with the rising costs of medications and healthcare. Picking a fight with the elderly is beyond words.

Wait, what? This is an actual word (well, slang word)?

My friend, if I may offer some unsolicited advice: Take the semester off. Study informally if you must (heck, come out to Boston and spend a week with me and the lab!). Just take the time off at spend time with your friends and loved ones.

I know, right? I mean it’s PERFECT. You could, I imagine, toast all manner of goodies in there from parsnips to churros. The possibilities are endless.

Adulting? Which of these best describes your situation: 1) trying to hire a plumber to dislodge a radish that’s stuck in your drain 2) waiting on hold for an insurance agent re: squirrel damage to your LIDAR kit 3) finding the boxing gloves so you don’t lacerate your fists when you punch the TV

Every village has an idiot. In this case, there’s more than one.

You’re a genius, sir. This could go on and on… ā€œyou’re related to Reaganā€ ā€œYES!ā€ ā€œBut also Kennedyā€ ā€œNO!!!ā€ ā€œBut also Genghis Khanā€ ā€œYES!ā€ ā€œBut also Trudeauā€ ā€œNO!!!!!ā€ ā€œBut also Khan from Star Trekā€ ā€œYES!!!ā€ That’ll be $199.99 for each analysis.

WOW. There’s something telling about seeing the reflection of a western brand reflected in the window of another western brand’s franchise in Punjab.

Clearly you’re alluding to the reflection in the glass windows. Is that a Panda Express sign? šŸ˜‰

Dr. Dawson, I really feel for you. It does get a bit better with age, but out of respect I won’t tell you it’s going to disappear. I’ve learned how to better navigate these situations, but each situation is different so the learning continues. Best of luck and keep doing the good work you do.

It will be difficult for a U.S. academic scientist to hire you unless you have a company. I’m not sure if you do, or if it’s worth it but i thought I’d let you know. Wishing you the best of luck!
