"No it's not!" she retorted. "So many roads were closed, it to me three hours to commute back home!" It's incredible! Her country is collapsing and her biggest concern was DC traffic! My Bluesky bubble is full of thoughtful people, but it doesn't seem to reflect reality!

Amazing, but not surprising. I was in an online meeting a few weeks ago with several fellow Canadian authors, and one lady who lives in Washington, DC. She told us that there were protests happening all over her city. "Wonderful", we said. continued . . .
