Both a 727 and a 747-200 are hanging out off the coast of SoCal. #PartyLikeIts1999

Vegetation Fire in Perris, 1-2 acres, potential for 10 acres, moderate rate of spread, named #RichardFire. Air Attack 310, Tankers 72 and 73, and Copter 609 inbound and arriving above.

Trying to keep a positive spin on this, so… Does this mean LaGuardia is gonna get a visit from a 747-8i?

Many have had their eyes on this bill in Washington State, which seeks to harm all aspects of non-airline aviation. If you live in Washington, I urge you to learn about this and submit your comments to the Governor using the link within the article.

These were not "aborted landings." They were "go arounds," assigned by Air Traffic Control, that were purely precautionary out of an abundance of caution. There was no immediate danger. This is what is SUPPOSED to happen. This is a safety win.

Anyone else see Netflix's "Carry-On?" Fine flick, and I'm ok with various creative liberties taken, but my only aviation gripe is that our hero found a belt loader that: 1) Worked 2) Went more than 2mph

“I don’t understand this, so therefore the cause can only be nefarious, and I shouldn’t have to spend time trying to learn how this actually works.” - Chemtrail believers

I don’t think it’s pedantic or pretentious to discredit someone who doesn’t know standard terminology in an industry. The moment you say “aircrafts,” you’ve shown you should not be trusted to be an authority, or in a leadership position, in aviation.

"We spend so much time with analysis of the crash sequence, usually with a very flight deck-centric focus, and I feel that sometimes we lose sight of the very people we aim to protect by flying safely. Instead of casting them off to the statistics column, let’s hear their stories today."

Who am I? I’ve spent 20+ years in aviation: dispatch, ops, safety, news media, writing, public speaking, gov affairs, and advocacy. I connect people, amplify voices, and bridge the gap between flight, the public, and the boardroom. I serve this industry with heart, hustle, and New Yorker honesty.

Though it's largely uneventful (no pun), I have a strange enjoyment of watching Amazon cargo aircraft waiting to depart while the #SoCalAirShow is actively underway at March Air Base. Here we see a KC-46 (BACKY94) in its demonstration with some F-35s, while an Amazon/Atlas 737 waits.

I am honored to have been invited by the 452nd AMW to fly aboard a KC-135 at March Air Reserve Base to witness the refueling of four F-15s and two F-35s. One of my most amazing aviation experiences ever. I hope to see you all at the #SoCalAirShow this weekend!

I'm glad to advocate for our industry by addressing the misconceptions of general aviation aircraft!

My last time at WTC before 9/11 was 3 weeks beforehand. I was in Borders Books at WTC Building 5, where I bought a copy of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six. A book about terrorism, the first chapter is about an aircraft hijacking.

I really enjoy how my toolbox sticker collection is shaping up.

So, I need a piece of luggage for check-in, replacing a 20”x28” where I typically add 45lbs of stuff. TravelPro has been my go-to but open to ideas.

I always hope to see improvements each time I come in but SEA-TAC has the worst airport security and pedestrian signage in the US.

Lost a luggage wheel as it came down the baggage claim slide. Gonna drag 44lbs around for the rest of my trip.

Honored to speak at the Nevada Aviation Association’s annual conference in Reno! The Industry Update session is always a great discussion with smart, fun, and talented panelists. Grateful for the strong relationships we have with fellow associations advocating for every corner of aviation.

And yet DOGE hasn’t done anything to address airlines that don’t offer gate-to-gate WiFi.

The annual conference of the Nevada Aviation Association is underway in Reno!

1. Tag aviation accounts you think people should follow. 2. Name aviation accounts who didn’t make the jump to this place who we need to recruit.

In 1973, a bizarre chain of logistical errors led to a cargo 707 taking off with a hold full of upside-down nitric acid bottles cushioned by sawdust. Needless to say, it didn't get very far. Here's the story. admiralcloudberg.medium.com/acids-to-ash...

The only aircraft above SoCal is a Volaris flight passing through. Eerie (but normal) to see LA and San Diego empty at 4:21am. But zoom out just a little bit and you see the cargo flights on their way to start their rush. LAX, ONT, SBD, about to get busy.
