Albertans can be a bit quirky about Ontario imports/colonialism & this kind of pure politics.
They've probably done the polling, but I wouldn't be too surprised to find that someone (a hard right independent or even a centre-right Liberal?) could beat the loser PP in Alberta.

Just like the huge polling lead the Canadian Conservative Party (a.k.a. Maple MAGAts) had a few months before they lost to the centre-left Liberals & Carney.
The Canadian Conservative Party leader (Pierre Poilievre) also lost his seat on 28-APR-2025.
In what other countries has this occurred?

Albanese and Carney now really need to deliver though. If people's issues such as housing aren't fixed, the gates are wide open for far-right populists in 4 years. Same in Germany.

Same as in Canada. Trump is good for the election of centre-left govermments.

Most (2/3 rds) of what the US 'gave' was out of date military equipment that the US was going to have to pay to decommission. It cost the US nothing & likely saved them money. For degrading the military of a longstanding (former?!) US opponent, it was the most efficient military spending ever.

Just tear it up when the war is over. Extortion does not make for a legal contract.

Headline: US Education Department, with its bat shit crazy demand about athletic awards, demonstrates that it needs diversity training and education about the science behind gender.
- as they say - Fixed it for you.

Didn't Bondi just proclaim that noone is above the law. Obviously not true.

That day is here. Exports to the US are only 3% of their GDP. They can offset that easily.
The world is moving away from the untrustworthy US.

I would never allow my kids to enter the fascist lawless US.

If the evil Fuhrer-unelect <incel, addict, Gollum, never trust> Musk "promises more attention on Tesla":
1. It's just another lie ... his schedule is already filled with ketamine, incel breeding & twitting, and
2. Tesla shares will continue to fall to their real value ~$40 (not financial advice).

So that's why the US markets recovered today.

I'm surprised by the TSX.
While US markets are in bear territory (from their highs) the TSX is only about 2/3rds of the way to a correction.
Of course Canada didn't abandon allies & didn't start a trade war with the entire world (we're renewing friendships & just defending against the fascist US).

Didn't most big companies stock up prior to the tariffs.
Don't mist small companies have a 2-3 month inventory.
Don't boycotts usually take several months to filter into a company's books.
This is a foolish article that ssks people to bury their heads in the sand.

Heck, it should be $40 at best.

At best this stock should be ~$40. I look forward to seeing it valued correctly someday.

Hegseth sharing confidential military information with family et al is a very simple issue.
He didn't ... move on.
He did ... fired & go to jail.

Fuhrer unelect <incel, addict, Gollum, never trust> Musk will definitely make his usual grifting claims about Tesla's future with fanciful targets coming 'next year'. The only question is whether investors & Musk-rats will believe him.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me 1M times, I'm a Musk-rat.
